It has to be asked - McGregor is that good. does he surpass the goalie?

The fact Niemi and world cup winner Charbonnier doesnt enter the conversation says a lot.

 

I am leaning towards McGregor - he has done it for a longer period of time.

Im a big Jim Leighton fan after training with him once when I was a kid. The intensity in him was unbelievable. Everything hit at him - he attacked. It got me a good insight into keepers.

My first thought was, 'aye-- but Goram won titles', but McGregor is actually not far behind.

Goram was arguably best in the world at his peak and I'd argue that he's the best keeper I've ever seen.

 

McGregor's great, but not just in the same class as Goram.

For pure talent and presence, it has to be Goram. McGregor is top class but Andy was on another level IMO.

mcgregor would have been the best in the world then too. the game has moved on.
