You can turn all 3 of those round overnight with the right Manager.

I think the balance between monies kept back towards off-field stuff and those put towards improving the team was somewhat imbalanced but the SD debacle was a clear concern. Imagine that £8m went to another two players?

As we've seen in recent years, there's no guarantees when it comes to having the correct manager or identifying the right players.

As such, I can see why the board have erred on the side of caution and looked to eliminate various liabilities.

We have clearly sorted out a pile of issues. We have also been very lucky to get so much money in to do so.

We have raised an additional 80-100 million of money we might not have raised over the last 10 months.

God knows where we would be without that.

Add in Morelos and Kent then various big earners will be gone.

However, clearly we need to replace all these players and with value of previously considered key assets plummeting then this will be tricky outside of punts and Bosmans.

It's difficult to assess the effect of player trading. The impact of so many of these transactions is hidden from view. The income from player sales may only be received incrementally over a number of years or on meeting certain criteria and, similarly, player acquisitions might be paid out over more than one financial period. Sometimes the total paid may be increased in return for a longer payment period to protect cashflow.

Are you a shareholder, Sbg? If so attend at the agm if you can and ask the question.

Can't see it those loans would be currently noted and hard to see how they would be needed.

Maybe there are more loans in there?
