The guy who came on in the last minute of extra time, to take the penalty ended up hitting the post twice. Which was a close as Spain got to scoring in over 200 minutes of WC football plus shoot-out.

 

Their penalties were a perfect representation of how they had gone about their business in those 200 minutes previously. No penetration, it was like a guy out on a Friday night looking for his hole, chatting to quality fandan for hours but dropping his bottle and not even asking the question.
