My main concern, apart from the financials, is the lack of height in the team in midfield and forward line coupled with our inability to deal with high balls in the penalty box

I agree with that. We are poor in the air and Raskin, Yilmaz and Cantwell coming in will actually make it worse.

Aye but we play Scotland.

No sweat grass or plastic pitches pass to your teammates and movement off the ball brings results let’s keep the up and under stuff for rugby league

Like Hearts, Motherwell and the like?

You can't tell the opposition how to play and high balls will be used against teams with a lack of height, particularly in a league like ours, where agricultural football is still in favour.

From memory, I think Barisic caught form at that time. He’s also top for assists this season and doing well in a range of stats.
Yilmaz impressed me though and I think he’ll improve us when he starts playing.

If the two players currently masquerading as fullbacks are the best we have and they're considered to be "on form" then we're in worse shape than I thought we were.

Aerial attack is the route every team in this league except Celtic take against us. They try to win set pieces and then just get it in the box. Aerial ability is very important, it’s our main vulnerability domestically by a mile.

MB, quoted in The Athletic, a few days ago:

“If we don’t get the work done now, we’ll do more work in the summer. If we do more now, it will be less in the summer,” he said.

“I’d like to add a midfielder who is powerful and can run. I’d like another centre-half, we’ll be looking at the goalie situation in the summer, and we’ll be looking for another No 9."
