Britian to enter a football team at the 2012 Olympics

I think it would be a great idea, I dont think there would be too much fighting, the games bring in a higher class of fan than the normal football games and I think that most folk we be decent enough to put all this 'we are scotland, hear us roar' crap behind us. At the end of the day it is only a game and there are much more important things to fight about than who puts a leather ball in to the back of a net...

SA makes a good point - We have a British Lions Rugby team. yet again Rugby shows football how its done - along with fans behaviour.

As for solely a Scottish team, we could put one in the commonwealth games.

In theory it is a wondeful idea, but in practise it sets a very bad precedence. The othe home assocaitations may come under pressure to fold and unite as a GB FA.

 

This would surely be a death knell for the local FAs

I don't vote at elections even although i can, but if i did it would be for an independent Scotland so i would prefer to see a Scottish team at the olympics.

The reason i don't vote is i don't see, why i can decide what happens in Britain as i abide abroad. I don't have a vote in a Dutch election as i remain British,so i just don't vote.
