None of these guys (including clement) likley worked without a dof before so hopefully not Paul le guen vibes

No, but we (should) get a DoF eventually.

A manager, for now, is more important.

Now seen leaks we have spoken to Clement and he is interested, but gut feel is some of these names are a rouse and it will be Muscat. In fact I reckon its probably a done deal for him to come in already when the season finishes in Japan. I do not endorse that at all and think he will fail spectacularly. See you all in 6 months for part 6 of the new manager boogaloo.

I know there is not much chance in us recruiting Paul Mitchell as DoF but as he is currently without a club and will probably join one of the elites shortly maybe its worthwhile asking him (or a similar experienced DoF figure not working currently, Rangnick perhaps) to come in for a few weeks / months as a high level consultant and hire a new DoF for us. Ideally someone of a similar mould to him.

Someone needs to get in touch with the board and tell them Lampard is not an option. How is he still in the running for the job?

Perhaps not believing everything you read in newspapers might be a good idea.

Rangnick is currently managing Austria.

It wouldn't hurt to ask Mitchell.

There isn’t much else to go on. We could just not talk about it until a manager is announced?

Or just make stuff up, like Davis is going to be the permanent manager... ? 👀

Ah well now, if we are getting this pedantic, I never said that Davis was going to be permanent manager. However, do I think if everything went swimmingly for Davis in the two games before the break the board might be swayed to keep him on longer to see how he does? Yeah, I do think that was a distinct possibility. Now we know that won’t happen though after last night.
