There are a few candidates this week.  I thought Cifuentes had his best half for us, Butland was impeccable, Sterling was superb and Sima was terrific but commentators reckon Betis lost the midfield and therefor the match so my vote goes to Lundstram.  Outstanding.

Forgot about Dessers.  Best game for us.

Lundstram, Butland, Sima ... all MOTM contenders but for me the influence of Dujon Sterling in midfield when he came on was pivotal to the result, so he gets my vote

He was a revelation. We've only seen him in piecemeal fashion before but Thursday night he took to his assigned role perfectly.

The nature of his emergence reminds me of when Calvin Bassey first got his chance. Sterling was lost in the shadows for months but when given his chance it very quickly became clear he has something substantial to offer. His ball control and passing are good but it's his physicality and positivity that catches my eye. If he can bring this to a midfield role then you have to question whether his future is as a fullback.

I want him to partner Lundstram tomorrow: together they will take care of Shinnie et al.
