To dismiss having someone with emotional ties to the club, on the board when a venture capitalist is taking control would, IMO, be stupid.

You’re correct but the present board along with plenty of previous board members have to be held to account for our dismissal fall from being a good team/club to a bunch of also rans Rangers fans used to love telling others we had won more leagues cups etc that’s now history look at the record for the last quarter of a century honours are few and far between but yes I’d like a true Rangers connection on any new board John Greig is to old now and I know he’s not been in the best of health recently I would invite Archie Knox an old football head who knows how the game works .

The sacking of Clement and replacing him with Ferguson and his mates showed the complete incompetence of the board. Not one of them should be on the new board, at least the ones who thought Ferguson was the answer.

I don't think any of them thought he was 'the answer', merely a body to tide us over until the end of the season.

You’re correct none of them “thought”. There were a good few experienced managers available at the time. Ferguson and his mates were a bad joke.

Do you honestly think ANY of them would have looked at our basket team and came for the games left----I don't.

Yes if the money was right, it was a win win for an experienced manager. But as usual our board made the wrong call, Rangers men I know, experts in various field but no idea how to run a football club.

I doubt they would have taken up a 2-month caretaker role.

Clement had to go but we were never bringing in anyone suitable, for the long term, at that stage.

It was a stop gap, that's all, so there's no point dwelling on it.

You may well be correct, but did they ask? Sack Clement and bring in a boy band reunion act! Anyway upwards and onwards, I don’t care if the new regime have no connection with the club, just want winners.
