I dont know anybody that thought Beale or Clement should have got the job.

I didn't want Beale, and I wanted Muscat over Clement.

 

Felt Barry and the staunch avengers was a lazy option, that ultimately plugged a hole until the takeover.

I think the reaction from the support has been alarming, especially given the roaring horses arse that's been made over the last few years with our choices.  Would I have wanted RM?  Probably not.  Would I have wanted Ancelotti?  Definitely not.  Would I have wanted Gerrard?  Maybe.  At the end of the day, that would appear to have been the choice.  The fact that Gerrard appears to have pulled from the race suggests that there will not be the same power base with the manager that he enjoyed and maybe that didn't work for him.  We have cried out for a manager that does not treat the likes of Dundee like Real Madrid and who wants to press his opponents hard.  That seems to be RM's modus operandi.  He could have his very own Mojo moment if he tans the filth in the first OF game.  If we have a decent transfer window, this may well yet be a good season.

 

Give him a chance FFS.

 

I'd define his first seasons success requirements as a cup, a real title challenge and EL Groups (and last 16) at a minimum.

Russell Martin is the new Rangers manager and we need to get on with it. Both he & Kevin thelwell need to get started ASAP on the squad for next season. The squad is very thin on the ground in certain areas and signings are needed before the CLQs

Martin has signed for 3 seasons - Summer, Autumn and Winter - so its not that long. 

 

As Rab posted above, its done now so we accept and get on with it and give him a chance. Trying to look at the positives - he may have some good contacts in England to get a few good loans signings in. We seem to be trying a re-build every year and some of our incoming loans in the last few seasons have been far better business than the outright purchases. Its not a long term strategy but with Euro qualifiers not far round the corner and our squad being light in multiple areas Im happy if we get players who can perform like Sima and Cerny have done. 

 

That head of hair on Martin though! Im surprised Head & Shoulders wasnt in the running for him for their adverts.
