Farioli leaving Ajax. Linked with Spurs.

Who in their right mind would want MrFarioli after he presided over a shambles in the Dutch league when his team only needed six points from five games in my book he’s a dud

The Gerrard rumours appear to be picking up speed again, in the usual places.

Got to say, I'll be disappointed if we bring him back.  He left us pretty sharpish last time, failed at Villa, had an uneventful spell in the back of beyond and I think we can do better.  I like winning cups too.

Something I was reading from Ibrox noise!

Also is it true R Gattuso is out of a job? Would anyone have him as boss?

The language used in that article is ridiculous and the 'leaked message' it refers to was not from anyone at the club or Gerrard's side, so I think we can disregard that story/source.

He’s the bookies hot favorite at 8/11 to be the next manager going back as a manager or player seldom works out  if true I can see Tav getting a new increased four year contract .

I will be very disappointed if Gerrard is our next manager because it is likely the new owners will be party to this decision and in my eyes it would put them in a poor light.  This is purely a personal view.

It has been somewhat confusing and until the new controlling interest buys up the 50%+ of shares then tells us about their vision and plans, it will probably remain so.

We have been led to believe, mostly by 'educated' guesswork that the way ahead would be a modern football club model, analytics and a Head Coach with a Director of Football in charge.

At first glance, Steven Gerrard doesn't seem to be a good fit for that.

So, what is the vision, the plan.

We'll have to wait and see what they have to say.
