Who should be the new manager?

Assuming the new régime is running the appointment, the Press has no conduit to it except possibly Stewart and I don’t think he’s a leaker.

For the ancien regime to take upon itself the appointment of the new No. 1, and associated/ ancillary staff, without the agreement of the incoming owners/investors, would be monumental arrogance and stupidity, of such scale as to threaten the whole deal.

I assume that the deal  -or the series of deals- is done, and will kick in on a particular operative date The majority ownership will then vest in the Yanks. Thee cheers for the red, white, and blue.

I have absolutely no idea who could, should, or would be the next manager - like everybody else, outside a very tight circle of people who know that careless talk costs deals.

Legally they won't be able to. There will be something in place to state that any contracts over a certain value will have to be agreed by Newco, the company that will be buying the shares on behalf of the 49ers/Cavenagh.

Makes me think that the deals are in place, and the Club is operating under interregnum rules.

That would certainly be standard for this kind of VC deal. Everything has pretty much been agreed and there's a period of due diligence to be completed prior to it being signed and sealed.
