Who should be the new manager?

I wonder how Barry has the authority to sack anyone?

What Keith, like most of his colleagues have missed is that two of Thelwells trusted staff (Dan Purdy - Head Of Recruitment and Gareth Poser) are leaving Everton.

Purdy would be a direct replacement for Koppen, but maybe it's just a coincidence that they are leaving Everton.

I think we need to hire people on merit and not just old pals act. That’s not to say the two gents you’ve mentioned aren’t good or capable. But if Thirwell doesn’t work out then we will likely sack his pals when the new guy comes in and we repeat a process all over again.

Part of me wants to see what Koppen can do with a bit more freedom this transfer window.  He has a mixed record for sure, but given last summer’s transfer policy he was working with one had behind his back. If he can bring in a couple of decent young players like Hamza and Jefte every year we won’t end up in a bad place.

Agreed and Everton fans had nothing but nice things to say about Thelwell but its more mixed when it comes to Purdy (fans saying some of his signings were "slow" and he signed too many players).

As I said, it may just be coincidence that both are leaving Everton but surprised that their departures have gone largely unreported and that they've not been linked to us.

However, they'll probably end up elsewhere!

Ancelotti was speaking at his first press conference since becoming Brazil boss.

And South American journalist Eduardo Burgos has revealed the legendary gaffer's confirmation of his son's movements.

Burgos said: "Carlo Ancelotti confirms that Davide Ancelotti will not be joining his father on this adventure in Brazil.

"Be careful, he'll be in the opening matches, against Ecuador and Paraguay."

Ancelotti worries me.

I just don't know what he'll bring in terms of style of play.

I worry he’ll be seen as a soft touch in the corrupt world of Scottish football. Clement lost a SCF and a LCF thanks to questionable refereeing

Thats not in the managers remit, we need a strong board/structure behind the manager to tackle the "corruption".
