Popular Post pete 2,543 Posted Friday at 18:11 Popular Post Share Posted Friday at 18:11 Dick was on Dutch TV just now with two members of his Curaçao coaching team. They talked about Curaçao and how if you were new, you had to sing a song or do a dance. It showed a video of Dick singing Simply the best. When it came back live, Dick had tears running down his face and couldn't speak. When he was asked why he was so emotional, his assistant answered that the song came from Glasgow Rangers, and Dick considers that the best time of his life. He loved the people and his time there.
Graeme Ro55 1,113 Posted Saturday at 08:05 Share Posted Saturday at 08:05 Advocaat was by far my favourite Rangers manager Those were great times.
Scott7 6,810 Posted Saturday at 08:58 Share Posted Saturday at 08:58 Advocaat let Barry flourish and developed an attractive and effective style of play, at a cost. Pity he took his eye off the ball and allowed O’Neil to get the better of him.

Bluedell 6,173 Posted Saturday at 19:46 Share Posted Saturday at 19:46 Great days, but his insistence in buying Dutch (Konterman) when there were better options, his dislike of Albertz (due to nationality?) and bad luck (Mols injury) meant he wasn't as successful as he could have been.
RANGERRAB 4,105 Posted Saturday at 20:47 Share Posted Saturday at 20:47 I’ve always wondered how the Advocaat era would have worked out if Daniel Prodan had been fit. He was one of the best defenders in the world at one point.
Gribz 1,314 Posted Sunday at 03:58 Share Posted Sunday at 03:58 Advocaat definitely brought the highest standard of football as we were on a different level in Europe. Domestically the 9IAR team still romped everything but bar 92-93 they didnt compete in the Champions League. If Laudrup had stayed and played upfront it could have made all the difference. Wallace got a lot of important goals but I dont think he was on the same level as a fit Negri or Amato (another DA didnt like).
