SFA Compliance Officer...

...who still, mirabile dictu, exists, will probe the perspicacious comments on officials, of Mr John Brown, during Rangers TV coverage of the match at Easter Road.

Fortunately for Mr Brown, there are more than a few like cases , involving pederastyfootballclub, which were ignored, dismissed out of hand, or otherwise disposed of in a manner acceptable to that organisation.

Precedents are set, but I am not holding my breath.

The SFA are looking at taking action against John Brown for comments he made on Saturday if he’s not employed in football then I’d say to them fuck you and I doubt if it would be legal for them to try and impose any punishment to kick in if he returned to football.

May I ask why the SFA gets involved into a comment made on a private TV channel for Rangers supporters? That is, nothing that the whole wide (Hooped) world would hear or listen too and thus can get upset about? Unless Finbar O'Fended, for reasons only known to him, signs up to?

Similar comments have been made on Celtic TV and no action was taken.

How quiet various Compliance Officers have been since celtic started winning a stream of Championships and Cups almost unhindered. I wonder what has jolted him into wakefulness.

The Shorter Oxford Dictionary suggests to me that he’s going to have to prove that by corruption, JB meant only the “perversion of integrity by bribery or favour” and not one of the other meanings of the word.

Maybe there’s a hope that Rangers can be given a disrepute charge for employing a person saying nasty things about refs. A ten point deduction isn’t needed for this season but it might come in handy for the next one.
