looks like it's goodbye gretna....

This is an absolute joke that the fixtures played is reduced and we then have 2 games in hand. We are already 3 clear yet we are brough back to level with Celtic and have to go out and go the hard work of going clear again.

Total farce. There is no way the game should be scrubbed out, the remaining games should be a walkover.

If you give Celtic a walkover, we're still level with two games in hand and have the hard work to do... We have to win those games regardless of whether Celtic play Gretna.

We have little to complain about except the fact that Celtic have struggled against Gretna and the bankrupt team had a very small chance of taking points off Celtic.

If we had just lost to Gretna, I doubt you would have wanted to give Celtic a walkover. Unless you are of the highest integrity...

But why reduce a point tally. Surely there has to be a better way than that.

These points have been earned when Gretna were afloat and part of the league. Part of winning the league is to be better against other teams than your nearest rivals. Due to taking our points off that were earned against Gretna this gives Celtic an advantage of being all square with us and could end up having an off day against Hibs (our game in hand). Celtic will already have had a psychological blow by drawing against Utd, this picks them up again and puts pressure on us again to get our lead back.

Still don't get you. At the risk of repeating myself, if Celtic were given a walkover against Gretna, or even if they play Gretna and win like expected, it will put us in the exact same position as the Gretna points deducted.

There is no extra pressure as there is no real change. If we slip up it is the same for us whatever of the three scenarios comes to pass.

The only thing that could make a difference is if Celtic were in danger of dropping points against Gretna. If that's the case then maybe Rangers fans should do a whip round to keep them in business till the end of the season. Or maybe Rangers FC should loan them the money.

Otherwise, it's all irrelevant.

If they deduct and scrap out all the points made what do they do with all the revenue made from these games? Do fans get their admission money back from a void match that ended up being a meaninless kick about??

Deducting the points is a nonsense from top to bottom.
