pete 2,499 Posted July 16, 2008 Share Posted July 16, 2008 Former Rangers, Manchester City and Sunderland midfielder Claudio Reyna is expected to formally announce his retirement on Wednesday.The 34-year-old American counts the Gers, City and Black Cats among his former clubs in a 14-year career which also took him to the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and back to Major League Soccer with New York Red Bulls. Reyna, who has managed just 27 matches in the last two seasons due to a series of injury problems, has called a news conference on Wednesday, where he is likely to call time on his professional career. He was part of possibly our best midfield Ive seen - Albertz, Gio, Ferguson (at his best IMO), Tugay, Kanchelskis, McCann..... Get yer finger out Walter and all the best Claudio.
