Recommended Posts

Any word on how serious the injury is? It looked a bad one and to me it looks like he could be out for some time

Anyone heard/know anything on this?

Crap, spelt his name wrong, can someone go in and change this please

Looks to be out for the SEASON.

KEVIN THOMSON will learn his fate later today but it looks as though the midfielder's season is over.

Thomson suffered considerable knee damage as he tussled for the ball with David Fernandez at Kilmarnock yesterday.

He was in major distress as he lay on the Rugby Park turf and had to carried off by stretcher following the incident eight minutes from the end of the 4-0 win.

Thomson had been a stand-out in the match but it now looks unlikely he will play again this season, which is a massive blow.

Club doctor Paul Jackson accompanied the stricken player to hospital this morning where tests were carried out.

The results will be available later today but Rangers are gearing themselves for bad news.

MORE ON THIS STORY LATER.

Upsetting news.

Just as well Fergie is returning although we've lost a good ball winner and hustler in the middle of the park. Edu might get a wee shot here and there too.

Forget Hamdani, he's not even interested anymore.

The article that Beattie posted is just made up bullshit. How can anyone comment before the test results have been looked at?

Thats a right dent to the midfield. But we are not short in numbers. Ferguson will be auto replacement with Edu and Hemdani possibly back in the fold.

We do have numbers but I wouldn't say any of them do as good a job as Thomson does in terms of ball-winning and mobility.

Edu is possibly the closest to that so I'd imagine both him and Ferguson might replace Thomson and Novo on Wednesday night.
