Unbelievable that PLG only bought one half-decent player that could last the pace...

Even Eck has a better legacy with Boyd, Novo and Hemdani.

So PLG had a better success rate considering he was only here for 6 months? :fish:

Disappointment more than scorn. One signing surviving 22 months after his departure...

I was 100% PLG when he first came, I will never work out how he could be so poor for such a renowned manager. Papac is just a lingering reminder of that, and for me, worth pointing out.

Eck gets it in the neck for many of his signings, and deservedly so, however, he did sometimes balance it up with some pretty good ones.

It's a longer period since Eck was around but he did make some decent signings - quite a few more than 3 (and I'm not sure whether to count Fergie). Walter Smith had been at Ibrox for a week and had already had a far better signings record than PLG...

I don't really want to bash PLG, I just thought it worth pointing out where we were and where we have risen to.
