Mendes has pedigree in England, unlike Barrys aborted spell at Blackburn, and seems to be wanted by a few clubs. Read that Newcastle have switched their sights to Mendes. On a side note, read that agent Willie McKay is angry with David Murray claiming that agents are causing unrest at Rangers due to all the transfer gossip. How can you give a list of "available" players to a football agent and then be surprised when he tries to make business out of it. Murray is lying through his teeth. That this has become the subject of a public spat simply ensures that any remaining morale in the dressing room is well and truly gone. This was Martin bain's doing - he told Willie McLies that there was a list of Rangers players available and Mendes name was on the list. McLies saw this is a go-ahead from Rangers to tout these players to other clubs. It wasn't, and as you say, Pedro Mendes is raging at the fact that an agent, other than his own has touted him to Newcastle and others. Our club is a fookin shambles from top to bottom - however, we aren'y allowed to say that, that is being disloyal to SDMFC, sorry, RFC.....
