craig 5,199 Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 To think that after the OF game a couple of weeks ago we were 7 behind and Celtic had the chance to make it 10 the following week - yet here we are and they are only 2 in front. Had we drawn that OF game we would be a point ahead ourselves and this is ignoring all the other points that Celtic have gained through bad officiating (though, that said, we were the beneficiaries of some bad officiating yesterday). Could the tide be turning ? We know that they are not a good team and perhaps other teams are now realising this too and simply having a go. Pittodrie is always a tough venue and with Aberdeen coming off the back of this weekend's victory and there recent good home record they will be flying confidence wise. He won't be overawed and he would provide injection to our team. WS really should play him. Even at 17 he looks like he is as strong as an ox. Play him, play Novo wide right (or Naismith), attack them down the wings and let Mendes and Ferguson do the sweeping up. Sorry, a bit off topic with this post. We must, though, not come out with a laissez faire attitude. We have to come out blazing as you can be assured Aberdeen will. This is the type of game where our captain really needs to exert his influence too and show his team-mates what it means to play against Aberdeen.
