  1. Absolutely spot on compo. First 3 pages of this thread is nothing more than a pissing contest (EDIT : First 5 pages 🙄). Just because one person finds an article interesting, especially coming from a Pacific Quay CSC reporter I don't see the need for others to merely pile on with obtuse remarks. Are we really that childish on Gersnet ?
  2. His final delivery on Saturday was very peak Borna - some absolutely sublime deliveries. Build the team around him - can only get better from here.
  3. I would take the following please : We qualify for CL group stages Drop from CL into Europa as 3rd placed finishers Celtic finish 4th and drop out completely We make the Europa final, meet Frankfurt, and exact revenge If Carlsberg did the perfect Monday....
  4. I would re-sign Andy Firth just for the bants
  5. That is because they hardly ever had the ball and the lad was chasing shadows, not being able to play his game. When Farke went (who plays the game the right way and who Gilmour would have done well under) they changed the way they played, which never suited his skillset. He "might" suit a better team ?? Mate, he has already proven that when at Chelsea - MOTM against Liverpool twice and raved about for half that season. The only reason he fell out of the team was because Tuchel came in and didnt give him game time - got to remember in that Chelsea midfield he was competing with Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic - and I actually think Gilmour, at the time, was playing better than Jorginho. In our team, with as much of the ball as we have - the lad would excel IMHO. Like having a much younger version of Steven Davis.
  6. He is. His mother's side of the family are massive bluenoses - but I believe his father's side are Tims (could be wrong on that - but his mother's side are definitely massive bluenoses). Personally think that the family know that a move to Celtic wouldn't be a good one for him (they will never forgive his mother for the "I am not touching the green on that scarf" when he signed for Norwich). They called her a bigot at the time
  7. Adding to this. Bassey is absolutely captain material IMHO. What a unit, what a player, what a genuinely humble person. I would be building my team around him, Lundstram (yes, I know he is 28 but he gets it and is quality), Lowry & Morelos (who actually looks like he is loving life at Rangers just now)
  8. They have... but they also have had a free run, generally, for 4 of those years. Loans with options to buy are the best way to operate - Hagi being a good example for us.
  9. If he only has a year left then we may have a chance. Depends on player.
  10. His Norwich move was a travesty for the lad. He is a footballer who likes to get on the ball - at Norwich all he was ever doing was chasing the ball. Give him the ball and he can do things. Make him chase the ball and he is completely ineffective. The approach that Rangers and Norwich have to the game is completely different. He would see TONS of the ball for us, which would let him showcase his talents.
  11. Imagine Gilmour as your pivot, with an eye for a pass, Lowry with his creativity, and providing Alfredo with tons of chances....
  12. How is he untested ? Played in the EPL for Chelsea, played all season in the EPL for Norwich (which was an awful move for him AND Chelsea) - has been MOTM against Liverpool when up against Fabinho... TWICE.... is already a proven international. Part of a CL winning squad. How is he untested ?
  13. You mean going a full season without losing a game in the league ? You mean reaching the Europa League final ? Those results ? Those facts ?
  14. Kamara I can give you though here - thought he was largely ineffective - would have preferred we had Davis in there and released Lundstram a little higher - or even brought Lowry on as a more potent attacking threat that could have connected the midfield to Aribo.
  15. lol. "Aribo jogging about for much of the game" - that is exactly what you would expect of a player being asked to play the lone striker role in searing heat. Messi doesnt even jog about, he strolls about the pitch. Know why ? Because he conserves energy for when it is actually needed. What did you want Aribo to do - sprint all across the back line and hound the keeper, rendering him completely useless ? I would suggest that if you are complaining about Aribo "jogging about for much of the game" that you read up on how a false 9 is expected to play
  16. The boy absolutely gets it. He just does. Genuinely think that he greatly appreciates us picking him up from relative obscurity at Leicester and wants to repay that faith shown in him. Oozes class, on AND off the pitch. Can't believe he had a half dozen clubs reject him for their academies just 6 or 7 years ago.
  17. Had that very conversation with Kevin Thomson yesterday - until Scottish football stops eating itself to death and being run by incompetent twats only interested in the blazer then we will forever be a backwater
  18. It will NEVER be "meh" for me. Regardless of who it was. Devastated. But had Goldson defended as he should have then Ramsey wouldnt have been relied upon to hit a penalty. All of that said, I am immensely proud of that squad of players - they left absolutely everything out on that pitch, every last one of them. Now.... build the team around Bassey, Lundstram and Lowry and we should be good.
  19. The three of us took pictures pre-game.... as soon as we got to the match all 3 of us put our phones in a bag and they never re-appeared till we were at the hotel post game. I will never understand those that want to take pictures during the game. None of the 3 of us even moved from our seats for the whole game - 6 hours plus without water - but no chance was I moving during the game in case I missed anything - same with having a phone out. A Frankfurt fan in front of us would be lucky if she saw 20 minutes of the game as she spent the whole evening taking selfies with the pitch behind her. Ridiculous stuff.
  20. They didn't blow it, that's just nonsense.
  21. Because he was a Rangers player. That's plenty for me
  22. That is quite the panel of mentalists
  23. BTW, you West Ham fans have, for the most part, been legends. Looking to help out Rangers fans as much you can, and at face value. Fantastic effort lads
  24. F11 here - going by seating plan they are great seats - should be at how much I had to pay on secondary for them.....
