So non-British and only one from each country. Here's my effort: Charbonnier Porrini Cuellar Moore Barasic Reyna Kamara Albertz Laudrup Morelos Mols
-
Ah, you didn't say that in the OP.
-
Is this players from Europe, or those who played well for us in Europe? I presume the latter given the inclusion of Reyna in Gribz's post. I'd have van Bronckhorst over Tugay, particularly in the midfield. Tugay's best European performance was as a sweeper. Huistra is the main non-Brit from the 92-93 run, and got a couple of goals, but probably wouldn't get into my team. Mols in the 99/00 season was fantastic, and have him well before Negri (although I've got no time for Negri). I'd go back 4 and have Numan and possibly Porrini. Weir and Cuellar were brilliant in the 2008 run but Amo and Moore had some fantastic performances under Advocaat. I'd maybe go Cuellar and Amo.

So where do you draw the line, TB? You mentioned a fight outside a pub. Should we have of rid of Durrant for his BotP? McCoist and Goram for their drink driving?
-
McGregor as we could have been 3 down if it wasn't for him.
-
Gazza broke the law as well and actually did harm someone, unlike these 5, so I don't see what's so extraordinary about the comparison.

Goldson has been the most consistent this season and has stepped up his performances. I'd agree with Bill that it would be hard to look past him. -
Tempted to go for Kent, but have to go for Alfie with his involvement in all 4 goals.

Most of those who attended the Rangers Wrexham game in 2019 came away raving about the performance the Rangers right back, who was the best player on the field before he went off injured and he's subsequently been one of the few who have broken through from the Academy into the first team squad, and he has impressed whenever he has had the chance to play for the first team. Last night's injury to Tav would have been the ideal opportunity for him to come on and show what he can do and perhaps get a run in the team but his idiotic behaviour last weekend and subsequently having to self-isolate has put paid to that. Gerrard is talking of looking externally for cover, suggesting that Patterson's career with us is over but should he be given another chance? Tannochside Bear put forward a well-argued and reasonable viewpoint. However, I would argue the opposite, and would allow him back in after the club's punishment has been meted out. TB says this wasn't getting into a fight outside a nightclub, and he's correct. It also wasn't players inviting round some random hairies that they've picked up on Twitter/Snapchat/Tinder like Jones and Edmundson. This was young players who see each other in training and are therefore in the same bubble getting together with their partners who are bubbled with each of them (I'm ignoring the fact that Dapo's on loan for the purposes of this!). While what they did is against the rules and should not have happened, it appears to have been done with relatively minimal risk. Yes, they deserve to be punished but does it mean that Patterson's career should be over? He's 19, and we've all made major mistakes at that age. I'd argue that some of Gazza's antics while at the club were worse than what these boys did. While I'm loathed to look at what other club's do, should Arsenal get rid of Aubameyang because of his tattoo? If playing Patterson was the difference between winning the league this season or not, would you be willing to sacrifice it to punish a boy for meeting friends, who are in the same playing bubble, and their partners who are bubbled. Nobody will be feeling worse than Patterson right now, and this could be kick up the backside that results in him having an outstanding career with the club. Does the punishment of the end of a career with the club meet the crime? I can understand those who say it does, but I'd argue that it doesn't and he deserves another chance.

Gerrard interview - confirms the five players involved
Bluedell replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
Is Zungu purely a loan with the option to buy, or a loan that will definitely turn into a buy, like McCrorie at Aberdeen was? Edit - just seen on the club website that it's an option to buy. -
Gerrard interview - confirms the five players involved

Zungu, Dapo, Kinnear, Patterson and Bassey are all isolating. -
-
That was the story, but who knows? It did seem to be put in a genuine way when I read it.
-
Was that not Ntcham who shares a house with Eduoard?
-
Dickson was the other, although Zungu was also mentioned.
-
Perhaps if they say nothing publicly, it'll prevent the SFA etc getting involved. They seem to be taking the Shane Duffy approach of "he tested negative and that's all we'll say on the subject" following his early return from Dubai and lack of subsequent lack of shielding.
-
Not sure what 4 you have. Dapo? Kinnear?
-
Mark Dingwall is reporting that "the five" have tested negative.

I don't believe that front 3 would work as well, as they lack Kent's pace and trickery and it would allow the defence to remain more compact and would result in less space for the team. Kent's presence is integral to the success of the team, even when he's not on top form. -

We just appear to function better as a team when Alfie is playing. As for change in personnel, well we tried that against St Mirren and Hamilton and look how that turned out. -
