  1. Both were perhaps judged to not be fit. Iwata, Kobyashi and Johnston had been training with Celtic for weeks prior to being registered when the window opened and thus ready to play asap. Beale looks to have learned and is keen to get transfer business done quickly in time for pre season training.
  2. I’m just angry at wee short arse Wilson who took too long to get Cantwell and Raskin in January, had we got them in sooner and they could play in the first two games v them at ibrox and the LC final who knows.
  3. MOTM poll should be unanimously Cantwell, if it’s not then I dispair. The save McRorie made at 2-0 from O’Rielly was excellent. Great to have a left back that puts a foot in and doesn’t vanish when a man runs at him..
  4. For some reason during that interview he couldn’t stop looking at the floor. Pathetic
  5. Good to give them a bit of a bloody nose. They had players missing but so did we. Game on next season.
  6. Genuinely thought he was going to miss 😂😂 We want MORE
  7. Matondo was done after 50 mins, replaced by Hagi
  8. Every time Cantwell gets the ball they get a free kick. Good tactic from Celtic.
  9. Shush, just rolled his ankle after you posted that. Juju etc
  10. What’s this rubbish about the throwing things their fans throw stuff at our players and it gets ignored
  11. Cantwell show again. We have lacked for some long players who relish these games. Look like we found a good un.
  12. No and I wouldnt want him back either. After 1 year in the championship if he does well he could end up at a bottom 6 side for megabucks.
  13. I think it was a bad move for him, he has done it for us in Europe and outshone Iwobi for the national team. Southampton look like a very odd club right now. Basically went out in the summer and bought an under-21 team and prioritised playing those guys over staying in the EPL.
  14. I have reservations about us spending 4 million on a honduran playing for a jobber team in Greece but got to trust the process. Looks like he will be a replacement for Kent. Luis Palma - Player profile 22/23 | Transfermarkt
  15. Oh, Absolutely agree. I think sometimes our support are fixated with the big sell. Its not about chasing that big Bassey type sale but going for more 'Aribo's'. Bear in mind Stewart Robertson said at the time the Aribo signing cost ~2 million in sign on fees and he had a high wage for his profile so you wont make big profit on these guys but its more about the continual turnover that makes it sustainable for a club like ours.
  16. Are we getting quality from our money now? Celtics Japanese contingent are on a fraction of our top earners wages. Kyogo on the same as Colak. I'd take Shankland as 3rd choice for 5-10k.
  17. Our 3 strikers at the moment are on approx Morelos 30-35k, Roofe on approx 28k, and Colak on 18k. A bit stupid really.
  18. I read that Kieron Dowell is on about 7k at Norwich. If he is coming here for 10k a week to be a squad player then its perhaps not that big a risk.
  19. van Veen wont require a fee or big wages. So doesn't really need to have a resale value. His profile would come in as a stop gap. The Maja signing however would be a bosman but require a large sign on fee, an agent fee and a high wage over a longer term deal. He has also passed peak sale age (18-23 someone can look at the stats and correct me). Maja wouldnt be the player trading model win some think. He would purely be a come in and get a few good years then punt like Aribo.
  20. I've been dismissive of the van Veen stuff but remember Andreas Velicka helped us win a title with a handful of games and goals. I always bang on when people complain about lack of youth players coming through that Mo Ross and Bob Malcolm have a fair few winners medals despite not being regarded as youth system 'successes'. Sometimes its about getting a balance right rather than just getting a load of players who as individuals stand out with certain criteria.
  21. Wow 3-3 Weston levels at 88 mins.
  22. Goal back. Ure wins a pen and Lowry slots home.
  23. Three nil. Dreadful performance.
