Today sums up Gios tenure domestically (and indeed mirrors some issues we had under Gerrard). Slow uninspiring play. Endless crosses to no one. Lazy defending. Another medium term injury(Sakala's hamstring). No real quality chance creation. This is season so far has been the result of many red flags coming to fruition. Its time for the board to wake up, come out of hiding and act. Either make the tough decisions themselves or go appoint a David Holmes type to do it for you. Stop hiding. Its pathetic.

Last time we dropped points the other team looked like dropping points and managed to claw back the full 3. This weekend looks like history repeating.

Kent back to offering very little. He holds onto the ball for far to long for me. Got to be more direct rather than shuffling about doing wee dances on the ball. first twenty we went at them tried to pass through them, run at them. After that reverted to aimless crosses that cause no damage

No idea why you'd compare Yilmaz to Kent yeah. But wasn't sure what thresholds you were looking at in terms of playing time before judging as you seemed to use a very small sample set of minutes to differentiate being able to judge one but not another. As well as only looking at SPFL stats to which i think it would be unfair not to look across all competitions as the bulk of Yilmaz appearances have been in Europe and League cup. IMO its fair to judge a player after 15 minutes(remember that chap Ali Dia for Southampton ) or 15 years, call it as you see it. I'm open to debate is all.

More a box to box old fashioned #8. Lundstram can play there but i dont see him as a holding midfielder. That's what we need more of. Davis of 10 years ago. Not going to get hung up on tactics/formations. Lundstram and Davis can both get forward without being AM/#10 types. Tillman can do it(Motherwell away). Lowry can do it(Hearts away end of last season). A agree with your initial point its not just more midfielders we need. its the type. We have the right type in Jack/Davis but they cant do it anymore and need replaced. If we sell Kamara perhaps we need another DM but Sands is probably enough.

Tillman, Lowry, Hagi, Lawrence(I know the latter two are injured but thats temporary). Really? Dont think we need any holding midfielders. Sands can do it. Lundstram can do it. Jack can do it (when fit..). Davis can do it. Kamara can do it (if he can be bothered) If we can clone a right sided Lundstram that would be good. An all rounder. Or a Pedro Mendes type.
