A Barry Ferguson type player would give this squad the confidence to climb several rungs up the ladder. We have a solid group of lads but I feel we're missing that swaggering midfield general who doesn't need to be asked twice or at half time to put a game to bed or chase the trespassers out of the middle of the park.

What's making this sweeter for me is that the new guys have came in and kept to the standard or raised it a touch. Brilliant recruitment from the staff.
