  1. I assume it refers to the guy who appeared on BBC News outside Ibrox when administration was announced, he said “the big house must stay open” or similar.
  2. Coyle: Even biased fans will agree we were denied penalty Author Laura Brannan 9 December 2017 Rangers came from behind to beat Owen Coyle's Ross County 2-1 at Ibrox. Owen Coyle was left angered by the lack of decisions that went in Ross County's favour, saying they didn't deserve to be leaving Ibrox without at least a share of the points. The Highlanders took the lead against Rangers after just 10 minutes but the home side scored twice in the second half to snatch the victory. The Staggies manager was frustrated by referee Euan Anderson's performance, especially when his side were denied a late penalty. He believes everyone will collectively agree should have been awarded the spot kick for Bruno Alves' foul on Andrew Davies. "We certainly shouldn't be leaving with no points from the game, that's for sure," he said at full time. "We certainly deserved more than what we got. "I'm always loathe to be critical of people but I think it's fair to say there was a number of things that went against us today. "Late on at 2-1 we should have had a stonewall penalty. Big Andrew Davies runs in to score and Alves, not even looking at the ball, throws him to the ground. "But it is what it is, we never got it, but that being said we showed a lot of good qualities today. The disappointment was we allowed Rangers back into the game. "Maybe the referee never saw it but the other officials seemed to see a lot of other stuff today so for me it's a stonewall penalty. "When we see it back even the most biased would agree we would be looking for a penalty in that incident. "I thought there were a number of things, not just the penalty late on. Sometimes you get those decisions but we've certainly not had any yet so we must be due a lot of them."

  7. Also Murty to stay in position until year end.
  8. Thursday, 07 December 2017, 21:40 by Rangers Football Club THERE has been a great deal of media speculation regarding the appointment of a new manager. We assure all supporters that they will be the first to know when we are certain we have someone with the correct qualities required by our club. The Chairman made it clear at the AGM that the club did not consider there to be an outstanding candidate among those who had applied for the position and the club was therefore considering managers currently under contract. This requires permission from their present clubs. The position of Rangers manager requires an ability to win football matches and the mentality to cope with the demanding off-pitch environment that goes with being the Rangers manager. This is a critical aspect of our assessment of any candidate during the interview process. After the two games against Aberdeen, we requested permission to engage with their manager to assess his readiness and willingness to consider the Rangers position. This was declined. We were subsequently made aware by Aberdeen’s statement that, at this stage in his career, it would be best for him to remain in his current post. We endorse that position because moving to a massive club like Rangers is a big step with concomitant risk. We continue to consider candidates but will only appoint someone in whom we have full confidence and who feels he is ready for the job. In the meantime, we have great confidence in Graeme Murty, who will continue as interim manager at least until the end of the year. The manner in which he has approached this task is a credit to himself and the club.

  10. Not many football mangers turn down a move to the biggest club in their country, a doubling or trebling of salary and very large increase in transfer funds. DM has proved he’s not Rangers manager material, bullet dodged.
  11. HOME/ABERDEEN FC/LATEST DONS NEWS/ Derek McInnes to STAY as Aberdeen manager – reports Derek McInnes. Derek McInnes will STAY as Aberdeen manager, according to reports. After six weeks of speculation, Rangers had an initial request to speak to the 46-year-old rejected by Pittodrie chairman Stewart Milne on Tuesday, and McInnes had been locked in talks with Milne about his future throughout Wednesday and today. McInnes and assistant Tony Docherty were contracted to Pittodrie until 2020, and it was reported it would take around £1 million for the Light Blues to secure the pair. Under-20s coach Paul Sheerin will be in interim charge of the Dons for their Premiership encounter with Dundee at Dens Park tomorrow evening, after leading training with coach Barry Robson for the last two days.

  15. You would think that we would have done the same. Could be we have not offered enough.
  16. Aberdeen refuse our request to speak to DM, but they did allow Sunderland to speak to him. Is the reason financial in that Sunderland had already agreed compensation?
  17. Wonder if our next manager will be announced by then?
  18. Do they do face painting at every game? Taking grandson to Motherwell game, so its not for me.
  19. Post match interviews.
  20. On that performance McInnes can stay in Aberdeen.
  21. Ffs 1-2 Ross free kick.
