  1. £500K by them I read somewhere? But it looks like the Club1872 board are wishing to finance it, if members give the go ahead.
  2. Every penny spent on these projects delays us reaching 20% of the share issue and beyond.
  3. He just cannot help himself, no matter the thread subject.
  4. ?I believe you, 1000’s won’t ?
  5. Why would anyone want to sing a song about a fascist? Unless of course they have fascist leanings.
  6. Yes, mostly. Rangers Football Club’s current safety certificate permits 114 wheelchair fans and 114 attendants at each match. 68 of these spaces are located in the West Enclosure, 35 East Enclosure, 4 in the Broomloan and 7 within the North West Corner. The 103 spaces in the West & East Enclosure are used by Rangers fans and are split into season ticket holders and Match to Match (M2M) members. The current ratio is 93 season ticket holders and 7 Match to Match places. The other 7 spaces are used for Club requirements. The 7 spaces in the North West Corner are utilised by away fans, with the exception of Celtic who utilise the 4 seats in the Broomloan subject to availability. The allocation of these spaces is controlled by the away club.
  7. Aye. But don’t you find it a bit suspicious that disabled supporters are specifically mentioned?
  8. Looking at CLUB1872 board report from September and it states this “ We have to be mindful, for example, of the needs of disabled supporters and those who have held season tickets for many years in areas of the stadium where safe standing might be installed.” Where would our disabled fans be moved to?
  9. No idea. If you read the full Club1872 statement it looks very much like a done deal between Club1872 and UB, first and last paragraphs are the killers for me. My position has always been that money raised should go to increasing our shareholding in the club although I know the constitution allows for other expenditure.
  10. I don't get why our older fans wish to sing TBB a song about a fascist. The young team probably think its referring to King Billy.
  11. The survey only asks that those in favour of moving to such a section give their details. Other members get no say, even although it’s our money that may be used for this idea. Read elsewhere that the UB have only 50 members, why is Club1872 even talking about this? How many disabled fans do we have ?
  12. It’s on Club1872 website under news.
  13. Just to be clear for all members who pay into Club1872. Club 1872 and Union Bears Launch Safe Standing Survey 12 January, 2018 Following very positive discussions between the Union Bears and Club 1872 last year, the groups are now moving on to the next phase of our safe standing initiative. This stage will involve collecting the details of those interested in being located in a safe standing section at Ibrox. Gauging the demand from supporters for safe standing is an important process as it will allow the groups to enter into meaningful dialogue with Rangers over the location, size and cost of such a section. We would urge any supporters who are interested in taking up a season ticket in such a section, to enter their details via the form here. This will be a crucial step in securing a safe standing section within our stadium. The information we gather will be passed to Rangers and verified against their database. It is essential that supporters enter their Rangers number accurately to ensure their entry is counted. The survey will remain open until 12th February 2018. It should be noted by Club 1872 members that if it is established that there is sufficient demand for a safe standing section, any project funding undertaken by Club 1872 in this area will still be subject to a separate member vote.
  14. Totally agree. There are more urgent things requiring done e.g. access and amenities for our disabled supporters. If the UB wish this they can pay for it if club are not. I only pay the minimum to Club1872 each month because I prefer to own my own shares but the little I contribute should go on buying more shares and advancing our clout in the boardroom.
  15. Rangers starting line-up: Alnwick, Tavernier, A Wilson, D Wilson, Goss, Holt, Kranjcar, Atakayi, Murphy, Dalcio, Morelos.

  20. CRAIG FORBES Published: 13:17 Tuesday 09 January 2018 Have your say Rangers have been linked with a £1.5million move for ex-Dundee midfielder Kevin McDonald. reports Kevin McDonald has been linked with both Middlesbrough and Rangers. Picture: Getty The Sun are reporting the Ibrox side are ready to do battle with Tony Pulis as the latter looks to make the Scotsman his first signing at Middlesbrough. McDonald is currently at English Championship club Fulham. He’s been a mainstay in the team since signing in the summer of 2016. The player has also enjoyed spells at Burnley, Sheffield United and Wolves, as well as loan periods with Scunthorpe United and Notts County.A former Scotland under-21 international, McDonald has yet to win a senior cap despite being called up to the squad on a number of occasions.Rangers have already signed Jamie Murphy and Sean Goss on loan from Brighton and QPR, respectively, and are looking to bolster their squad further in the hope of closing the gap on Celtic at the top of the Ladbrokes Read more at: https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/rangers-linked-with-1-5m-move-for-kevin-mcdonald-1-4656931
  21. A contribution to the debate on the power of internet paranoia.https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/the-club’s-not-going-into-administration-rumours-of-administration-and-the-power-of-paranoia.15511/The club’s not going into administration - Rumours of administration and the power of paranoiaThe club’s not going into administration despite internet gossip and text messages. The club’s debt free, investors have put in millions and between the club board, football board, senior management and the Three Bears we’ve got more chartered accountants involved in the oversight and ownership of the club than you can shake a stick at.The latest wave of rumour has resulted in a couple of bookies suspending the market in Rangers going into admin - great publicity for the website that broke the story but it still doesn’t have the credibility of being in touch with reality. You want the club to deny the story? Well, they’ll have to issue statements every day of the week and provide the media with that old staple “the denial story” which can be used to justify any nonsense they choose to print - for instance, ‘Rangers today denied Dave King is an axe murderer.’ The current rumours are stoked by a text which claims that a director told his mate that not only was the club going into administration, but the date of administration, the points deduction, that the club would still stay in the league and that it was all being done to get rid of Dave King. Really?A director is going to give all that sort of info - and how could he know exactly how the governing bodies would react? - to a mate who helpfully puts it into a text that circulates around the internet?More peculiarly the text just happens to be exactly like other texts and emails which have surfaced every couple of months since the good guys won control of the club back in March 2015. Uncanny!Apply common sense and caution. If the board want rid of Dave King they just vote him out - he might be the biggest shareholder but he’s got nothing like a majority of shares. People who have fought Green, the Easdales and Mike Ashley to a standstill and then victory are going to put it all at risk by going into voluntary administration? Have a look at the accounts - after all the woes the club has been through in the last five years they are as clean as a whistle. If you extrapolate forward how much it will take to run the club in the next few years then it’s clearly manageable.Leave the hysteria to Timothy and his allies
