  1. Club1872 Tweer It’s difficult to know who we should go with here, the scores of eye witnesses reporting being trapped between a non functioning turnstile, a wall and a line of police horses or the BBC Scotland rugby correspondent, who wasn’t there.
  2. Chelsea apology over ex-chief scout Eddie Heath's 'unchallenged' sex abuse By Dan Roan and Jack Skelton BBC Sport Young Chelsea players were targeted for years by a "prolific and manipulative sexual abuser" who was able to operate "unchallenged", says a damning report. Evidence from 23 witnesses details how ex-chief scout Eddie Heath, who died in 1983, groomed and abused young boys aged between 10 and 17 in the 1970s. An external review said some adults at Chelsea must have been aware of Heath's abuse but "turned a blind eye". In a statement, Chelsea's board apologised "unreservedly". The report - led by barrister Charles Geekie QC - is also heavily critical of former assistant manager Dario Gradi, who is accused of failing to tell more senior club staff about an allegation regarding the sexual conduct of Heath, brought to him by the parent of a young player. Gradi's alleged failure to report the claim "was a lost opportunity to expose Heath and prevent further abuse". The BBC has approached 78-year-old Gradi for comment. In his evidence to the review, he denied trying to "smooth over" the matter in a meeting with the boy's father. He also said he reported the allegations to the club's assistant manager. Meanwhile, a separate review into allegations of racial abuse from 1982 up until the late 1990s conducted by charity Barnado's concluded that "black players were subjected to a daily tirade of racial abuse".
  3. My view was give SG 3 transfer windows to get a title winning squad together. Let’s see where we are at Xmas.
  4. Club 1872 Statement on Kilmarnock FC Safety Issues Dear Member, Club 1872 has received multiple eye witness reports from supporters trapped outside Rugby Park prior to, and following, kickoff in yesterday’s Kilmarnock vs Rangers game. These reports describe crushing, supporters fainting and actions from both stewards and police that made the situation worse. We note the comments of Kilmarnock director, Phyllis McLeish who has claimed that the unsafe situation outside the ground was the result of searches and fans’ impatience. Ms McLeish’s comments are simply not true and appear to be a deliberate attempt to shift the blame for the breakdown of Kilmarnock's new ticketing system. We have reports of fans waiting up to 45 mins to enter the ground. The delays were a direct result of this new ticketing system, which failed and put Rangers supporters in danger. We are aware of a video which appears to show Rangers supporters opening an access gate in response to pleas from supporters further back in the crowd. This has been characterised negatively by various media outlets including the Daily Record and BBC Scotland journalists. Having watched and listened to the video in question, there is genuine concern from distressed supporters that there is a dangerous situation building up in the crowd and that this gate should be opened to relieve pressure. This concern matches the eye witness accounts, from those further back in the crowd, which we have described above. The situation would never have arisen if the ticketing entry system at Rugby Park had been working properly. As usual, there has been a rush from certain elements of the press to blame Rangers supporters for this incident. We would remind them, Ms McLeish and others that it is the responsibility of Kilmarnock FC and their directors to ensure that visiting supporters are safe. It is quite clear that the ticketing entry arrangements were not fit for purpose and that this created an unnecessary situation at the turnstiles which placed Rangers supporters in danger. We will be submitting the reports we have received to Rangers and urging them to ensure that Kilmarnock FC and their directors make proper arrangements in future and that they are held to account for the shambolic and unsafe situation prior to kickoff. It was Kilmarnock FC's responsibility to make suitable safety and ticketing arrangements - it is absolutely clear they did not. We will liaise with Rangers on this and on events inside the ground and work with them to ensure that Kilmarnock properly address these safety issues ahead of any future visits to Rugby Park. Issued by Supporters Voice Limited, a Club 1872 company Club 1872 Just a pity the clowns in our support give Kilmarnock and media something to deflect attention on.
  5. As above reproach Euro squad. https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2020/matches/round=2001148/match=2028042/lineups/index.html?iv=true
  6. Oops misread.
  7. You could have bet your house on that.
  8. Technical point ? But you’re correct, is it the same type ? On another point, what is the difference in price in laying an artificial pitch to our new grass pitch? The upkeep of artificial is obviously less.
  9. Thought Jones and Stewart may have had a start due to experience on pitch.
  10. Please be patient on the delivery of the smart cards. They are still being posted.

  12. Premier Sports, anyone got sound?
  13. Yes if he’s stuck with Liverpool and nowhere near the first team, his transfer value is only going one way.
  14. Filip Helander £2M approx not in our best team? Not saying your wrong but lot of money for us to pay for a back up player. I’m surprised as he’s left footed.
  15. Kent will not get a place in Liverpool’s first team squad, that’s obvious hence he’s available for transfer. No offers come in by transfer closing day, surely it would be better for Liverpool and the player for him to go on loan again at least till the next transfer window.
  16. New cards arrived this morning.
  17. Seems that Killie have offered some kids clubs free tickets for our game, one club offered 100 tickets.
  18. Willie Collum ??‍♂️
  19. Seems it’s the Rangers flag the council are upset about. Celtic-daft neighbour hits out at ‘ridiculous’ ban forcing Rangers fan OAPs to take down ‘offensive’ club and Union Jack flags outside home Ben Archibald 31 Jul 2019, 13:48 A CELTIC fan neighbour of two OAPs ordered to ditch Rangers and Union Jack flags outside their sheltered housing pads has blasted the “ridiculous” ban. We told yesterday how Duncan Adams, 74, and Joe Stirling, 71, were told to pull down the banners by council bosses as they could “cause offence”. 2 Celtic fan Kenny Paterson has backed his Rangers-supporting neighbours after they were told to remove their flagsCredit: Les Gallagher - The Sun Glasgow And Hoops diehard Kenny Paterson, 75, today rallied round the pair in Troon, Ayrshire, as he called on the decision to be reversed. The bus driver - who lives two doors down from Duncan - said: “I’m a Celtic fan and don’t find it offensive at all. Let them fly their flags. “It doesn’t bother anyone around here. The decision is totally out of order in my opinion. “It’s just over the top. Who would be offended by a Rangers fan? I just think it’s wrong.” 2 The flags fly side by side at the pals' homes in Troon, but the council have ordered the pair to take them downCredit: Les Gallagher - The Sun Glasgow Duncan said last night: “We both really appreciate his support. A lot of people round here seem to be supporting us.” We told yesterday how the great-grandad of four put his Bears banner up before his heroes beat Gibraltar side St Joseph’s 4-0 on July 9. Days earlier Joe — who has displayed Scotland flags in his window for five years — attached a Union Jack to a bracket. But the grandad of three said a council warden ordered him to “take them all down because they might offend folk”. Joe was also told to take down a Saltire and Lion Rampant. And a letter warned the Gers-daft pals they risked “possible inciting of antisocial behaviour”. Duncan, who lives with Border Terrier Max, said: “It’s ridiculous they won’t let me put up a small flag outside my house. “My wife died last year so all I have is Rangers and my dog.” And Joe added: “We’re living here until we pass away effectively. Are you telling me we can’t even fly a couple of flags? It’s completely over the top.” South Ayrshire Council said: “It was brought to our attention that a football club flag was displayed on council-owned property. This is discouraged.”
  20. Scotsman now running the story, hope they’re just a bit behind the rest. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/rangers/rangers-target-close-to-joining-ibrox-side-has-told-inner-circle-move-is-imminent-1-4974382?utm_campaign=The Scotsman - Daily RSS&utm_source=hs_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=75213324&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8tZYIxXW6khTP5lqWvxQoZ8xXHASL1PztWdiyPu1o9xiA0QfJisXI51ihacVa6A9z3a3TST7Z6ySy4zA8ojjRCb2qfkg&_hsmi=75213324 Martin Skrtel has told close friends a move to Rangers is in the pipeline, according to reports in Turkey. The 34-year-old's agent is understood to have held talks with the Ibrox side over a potential move, despite the Light Blues rubbishing the link last month. Could Steven Gerrard add further players to his squad? Speaking earlier in July, the former Liverpool defender confirmed there had been dialogue between his representatives and the club. Speaking to Slovakian media outlets, Skrtel said: "My agent had interviews with Basaksehir, Fenerbahce, Parma, Olympiacos and Glasgow Rangers. "But I can't say anything more for now." Turkish publication Fotomac - whose chief editor yesterday revealed that Rangers hadn't given up on tempting Skrtel to Scotland - claims the Slovakian international is "close" to joining his former Anfield colleague Steven Gerrard in Glasgow. Skrtel had been linked with a return to Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, with whom he spent three years, but it is understood the club's sporting director Damien Comolli baulked at the veteran's wage demands.
  21. 31 July 19 Rangers vs Sports Direct: Club won't wear Hummel next year as judge 'kills' deal Mark Hendry @mhendry92 Multimedia Reporter Rangers will not be allowed to wear Hummel kits next year after a judge ruling 'killed' the deal, it has been reported today. An injunction was imposed on Gers preventing them from selling or wearing Hummel for season 2020/21. We recently told how Rangers lost their latest in a long line of court battles with Sports Direct over replica kit. But it has been speculated today that Lionel Persey QC outlined the injunction which stops the Light Blues' Hummel deal from next season. In his ruling, the Scottish Sun quote the report as saying: "It is ordered that: Rangers shall not perform the Elite/Hummel Agreement. "Rangers shall not assist Elite or Hummel to perform the Elite/Hummel Agreement. "And Rangers shall inform Elite and Hummel that it will not perform the Elite/Hummel Agreement." Rangers have been approached for comment. More follows.
  22. Allegedly there are BBC Licence Fee Resistance groups on Facebook.
