  1. Two arrested in Rangers ultras fan march Martin Williams @MWilliamsHTSenior News Reporter TWO fans have been arrested during a Rangers ultras fans group march where flares were set off. The Union Bears march followed a controversial march earlier this year promoted by a sectarian flier that was the centre of a criminal investigation. Police had urged fans not to take part in the march. On Sunday hundreds again set off for Ibrox before Rangers' 2-0 win over St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership. Police confirmed that two were arrested, believed to be in connection with the setting off of flares, captured on video. A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We are aware that two supporters were arrested in connection with the march." In March, a "Goodnight Green and White" banner was draped across the balaclava-clad marchers but this time the hundreds were fronted by a banner simply saying "Union Bears" and later lit up flares with red and white smoke billowing into the air. A poster plugging the march five months ago, showed a silhouette image of someone wearing a green-and-white hooped jersey appearing to be being kicked in the head while on the ground, surrounded by text reading: “Good night, green white.” It described the Old Firm derby as "the match against the ******s."

  5. Agreed that it’s good to give our money direct to club where possible. But we’re a big club, surely our TV station could be more professional? Why accept commentators that are poor on our TV channel when we would not accept it anywhere else in the club?
  6. Watched the game on Rangers TV today. Not impressed, commentator is pretty poor with daft jokes. Co-commentator Burns a bit over excited. Surely we can do much better ? Having said that I have no idea how good other big teams TV channels are, e.g. Liverpool, Manu etc.
  7. Afraid not.
  8. Wallace and agent had talks with Levien on Friday. Deals announced on Monday?
  9. Our City, Our Club.
  10. Signs are coming down. Could this just be as no new contact has been agreed yet?
  11. Hope this is correct, but could it not be due to change in contract?
  12. Just scored 1-0, Lafferty that is.
  13. Lifted from elsewhere. Did anyone else notice that Borna Barasic followed the pre match ritual with the squad last night? Met the squad at the training ground, travelled with the squad in full pre match kit, and joined them in the changing room before, half way through, and after the game. That is an absolute touch of class from the club. That's how you make a player feel welcome and integrate them into the squad properly. There are certain things that Gerrard and the backroom staff do that impress me more and more than anything else we've had in recent years.
  14. This march is a “look at us” demo. As far as UB singing is concerned I believe it stops the spontaneity of the crowd, in fact I’ve heard them start a song while another is being sung from the other end of Broomie Front.

  19. And one more. Club 1872 Project Proposal - RCF Walking Football - Vote Required Prior to the start of the 2018/19 domestic season, Club 1872 is pleased to present another potential project to members for approval. The project is to support the Rangers Charity Foundation (RCF) in its provision of a year long Walking Football programme to members of the Rangers family. Walking Football provides the opportunity for supporters aged 50 + to take part in the sport that they love. It targets socially isolated individuals using the hook of the club to bring people together for some physical exercise and the chance to build their network of people in the local community. The session lasts 2 hours, the first hour is activity helping with participants' well-being both physical and mental through enjoyable structured walking football, whilst the second hour is for socialising and building positive relationships which can be carried forward out with the sessions. Walking Football would take place at the Ibrox Complex with the social time taking place in the Ibrox Community Hub. Both the Club 1872 Board and the Club 1872 Projects Working Group believe that this project will benefit both the Rangers community and Rangers Football Club through supporting older or isolated supporters. The link between Club 1872 and the Rangers Charity Foundation is very strong and we are very pleased to find a potential project which can support the work of the RCF as well as meeting our aims to work for the benefit of Rangers and the Rangers community. The proposal is: To fund the provision of a year long programme of walking football by the Rangers Charity Foundation for up to 30 participants each week. This includes the provision of 2 RCF coaches, Ibrox Complex hire, t-shirts for participants and hire of club facilities. The cost of the project is £5,500. The project requires majority approval from the voting membership and voting will remain open until midnight on 15th August 2018. Results will be announced thereafter. Members can cast their vote below. VOTE HERE. Club 1872
