Strikers miss chances they should score and keepers concede goals they should maybe save. The thing is, strikers miss more chances they should score than keepers concede goals they should save. Last night though, Alexander didn't have a chance.

Petrov struck the ball with immense power, albeit he was beaten at his near post but I doubt many keepers would've saved it.

I know but I reckon Celtic could beat 4 out of the 5 teams listed. Everyone will want to avoid Arsenal and probably be happy with their draw if they do. Celtic have hit the jackpot.

I have a horrible feeling Celtic will qualify. With the exception of Arsenal, Celtic could beat any of the other 4 teams. Lyon aren't the side they were 3 or 4 years ago, Pana are average, Sporting Lisbon are beatable and Stuttgart are definately beatable. Arsenal are the only team who are guaranteed to beat Celtic.

The fans sitting up in the stands have a better view than the players on the field. We overlook the whole pitch seeing players in tonnes of space with their arms outstretched shouting for the ball. What they (fans) sometimes forget (myslef included) in the heat of a match is that a payers view of the pitch can be blocked by opposition players.

The defence does worry me and the thought of LM being used as a backup centre-half frightens me. Personally, I think WS has ear-marked LM to cover the centre-half position if/when Weir gets injured. If we can get another CB in who like Cueller and Boogie is a natural in that position then I'd be very confident going into the new season. This going backwards to go forward idea is good if there's not an attacking pass on but last season, Davis in particular, when the ball was played into his feet his 1st touch was always back to our goal and more often than not his 2nd touch would be backwards also. This was when there was an option for a forward pass. I think that's what frustrates the fans S_A. I have no problem with going backward if there's no obvious forward pass on. That's how the european teams do it. Like Craig said, if you have the ball the opposition can't score. Edit: On a sidenote, this was Adams mistake. He;d more often than not try and ridiculous forward pass when nothing was on in the hope it would come off and the fans would think he was a briliant passer. Sometimes the fans appreciate the easier things.

Crikey, it sounds like we played well according to Craig. If WS can continue to use that tactic and play with some flair then maybe he'll turn me into a fan of his. Hopefully will see the goals at some point tonight on SSN.

Moscow were absolutely terrible. Celtic deserved to go through! Moscows tactics were very much like Walter Smiths on a european night. Sit back with one man upfront.

Schoolboy error, I should've cheked the fixtures!

He played well for us at times, just not regularly enough. He makes far to many mistakes when an easier pass would've been suffice.

I hate friendlies with a passion but I as offered a ticket tonight for free which I gladly accepted only to be told off the chick that we we've got an appointment to see the burd whos marrying us tonight. I feel differently towards this season than I have done in previous seasons. Even when we have gone into a leage season as SPL Champions there's been something missing. This season however, I'm all for it!
