I would rather pay more to see a better standard of player.

Now that our fate appears to be sealed, McCoist has a major rebuilding job to. I have read on various forums people mentioning Bob Malcolm, Stephen Hughes etc... However my thoughts are that we should be looking at signing mid table SPL players not over age journeymen. Surely our revenue will still be greater than the likes of St Mirren, Caley, Ross County.... If we can build a decent squad we should be looking at competing in both of the domestic cups. Winning a cup a season would really be quite something.

Right - Lets do this! Hopefully we can build a decent team. I would like to see us build a team that could not only compete in division 3 but challenge the SPL teams in the cups.

If we go to the third we may sell him anyway. However - at least he has given us that option!

I have to question the validity of the 250 number. Seems like we have a lot of scaremongering going on. However with that said I think we will see an increase in sales when our fate is decided.

We need to ensure we do not accept a complete registration ban. Players like Ian Black and Craig Beattie could really help if we end up in Division 1.

I am in the minority who thinks that Division 1 is best for us. Division 3 may be morally right however we are missing the big picture. Its all good and well wanting to punish teams etc, however by doing so we risk losing young fans (the future of our game) to the ever growing juggernaut that is English football. ---------------------------------------- On a side note: It may sound completely crazy however the best way for our country's game to improve is for the Scottish Government to try and limit the number of foreign games broadcast in Scotland.

It is strange because from what I hear around Edinburgh is that Black is quite a quiet lad.

But you must see that right now we do not have much options and for the price (free) Black is an astute signing.

Why? We have been lacking bite in the midfield for years. With Davis, Ness, McCabe, Fleck, Aluko and Naismith all gone - a free signing like Black is a peach.

Its not about the ability - its about the money we have lost.

Exactly - I think most SPL players would rather play for Rangers on say £2000 a week (no matter the league) rather than any other SPL team for £1000 a week.

I tell you what - if and its a big IF - we get back in to division 1, Davidson & Black would be great signings. How about getting young Andrea Mancini up on trial too? Just released from Man City and is heading to Bournemouth on trial
