  1. They're generally about half full before the games and get a bit of a rush after but Mo said they were surprsingly empty early evening after the last match. Put it this way, our dinner was like Christmas come early or held over for them.
  2. They go in for lunch if it's an early KO or dinner if it's 3.00pm, a couple of them inc Mo don't drink but the others put away a few; not that that's a criteria, of course.
  3. Muchas gracias. If it's the end of this season the last home game is on 23 April v Alloa when I'll be on a tour of some archaeological sites near Chiclayo in Peru, so someone else will need to organise. If we get to the Cup Final on Saturday, 21st May 2016, I could organise but I think a venue might be difficult and a lot of guys will have their own things on; but that's a long shot anyway. Perhaps, with this one being end Jan it might be best to look at the beginning of next season, though it's difficult to work out when folks finish holidays these days. You were sorely missed, TB. Hope to see you next time, whenever that is.
  4. He should be twice the height of most Chinese payers so he should have fun

  6. Davies would be an outstanding appointment for Kilmarnock if they can get him; and a bit of a culture shock for some of the players I'd suspect!
  7. Clearly we are going to have to agree to disagree about whether or not Zelalem is an asset to our squad. I am not the only one who doesn't think he is an asset. I don't want him to do badly at all and the fact that I have counted his passes in two recent sub appearances doesn't prove anything except that I am doing my best to justify my criticism. If I just came on saying, Zelalem was crap again, then I could see your point. I used to count the real Brahim Hemdani's passes as well (93% completion rate in one particular game) to prove to his doubters how valuable a player he was in that team. Pass success rate is regarded as a significant component in player's statistical ratings https://www.whoscored.com/Statistics I have posted on here several times that the Information I have from an informed source at Arsenal is that we are paying £6.500 of his £18,000 per week wages and whether you accept that or not what I am asking is do you consider that he is worth that kind of money to our current team?
  8. Just for the avoidance of doubt I was meaning a fans trip to one of their matches but your plan is even better. I'm sure that Carlisle would jump at the chance of a game v us or a select but not sure of the chances of that coming off.
  9. Their game v Accrington this weekend might have made an interesting trip were it not for our cup tie v Kilmarnock; would anyone be up for Carlisle V Stevenage on the 20th, we are at Dumfries the next day?
  10. Fair enough, Pete; no doubt plgsarmy can enlighten us.
  11. Any guesses who that might be, Pete?
  12. The paragraph that you have quoted is utter nonsense because as you say there is not one shred of evidence presented to subtantiate the claims. Who writes this stuff for the RST and do all members of their Board agree with it or is it the work of one man? So what if Celtic fans fund a web site through donations, is there a law against that? So what if their supporters are gullible? So what if they have friendly journalists, if they can't substantiate their stories they will be forced to retract (sic). There are politicians who support Rangers FC and indeed there is or was such a group in Parliament before the last election; I daresay there's a similar Celtic supporting group, so what? "This mob is incensed at the use of any legitimate, legal mechanisms to challenge them", are they really, where is the evidence for that? And who cares if they are, anyway? The final paragraph displays a remarkable ignorance of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012. The Government did indeed act but the government does not institute prosecutions in this country, heaven forbid we ever reach that stage. This was a good factual statement with a reasonable conclusion but completely spoiled by the load of crap in the final two paragraphs.
  13. There's no question that Gordon was held but whether he would have saved the second header is another matter. The Shalk incident was a clear penalty and an even clearer red card.
  14. No you can't guarantee that at all.
  15. And if I came on here saying he was useless without any evidence, I'd get accused of "unsubstantiated crap". He had no influence on the game and apart from the two assists v high flying Dumbarton has not had any significant impact on any game since September. He hasn't scored a goal in 19 games. Do you think he's worth £6,500 a week to us and if so justify your answer if you please?
  16. Post #129 in the game thread, thanks.
  17. I believe I already said that he didn't have his best 60 minutes.
  18. You were very well behaved CS which is more than can be said for your viciferous pal, Alex Meeting Colin & Willie being like meeting Neil Armstrong but more important than moon landings, what a turn of phrase you have. Reminiscent of Bill Shankly's famous quote about football not being a matter of life and death........... Glad you enjoyed the night.
  19. Was he looking for a ticket for the Gersnet Dinner?
  20. Before I got a ST in the Main Stand I sat down there quite often and found it quite scary sometimes. I rememeber one day a Hibs fan and Rangers fan were exchanging quite heated verbals and I was wondering what would happen if one or other charged across and others followed. There is no way that there are enough stewards there to prevent a mass charge. The same applies at Parkhead of course where it is often the case that skinny young lasses in stewards jackets five sizes too big for them are sat with supporters a few columns apart. I am not sure what the solution would be but as Bearman suggested it would be preferable if there was only one perimter to patrol. On thing is clear, it is the home Club's responsibility to ensure adequate security is in place, so if it had kicked off badly we would have been in the frame but once again the "reasonably praticable" defence would apply.
  21. I suppose the rationale is that if Bell does not fully recover or is sold or loaned to another team then we need experienced cover but in our financial position this seems to me to be a step even beyond the luxury of coaching Zelalem for Arsenal.
  22. Glad you managed to find the venue EVENTUALLY. I won't tell anyone you went via Cessnock. No doubt Alison has made you pay the price for the tour of Paisley Rd West and surrounds. Hope you got the 9.55pm train home or you WOULD have been in deep trouble.
  23. Forrester has played 89 minutes in 3 games and has not shown me anything to indicate why he is here or suggest that he is going to make any difference to us whatsoever.
