  1. Do we have a scouting system at the moment? I can understand Ally signing guys like Black, Shiels, Templeton and Kyle(??) but how did we end up with the likes of Emílson Cribari did someone spot him and recommend the player?
  2. This is so true....... League reconstruction will take place on Rangers’ terms or not at all. This is not because the Gers will throw their weight around like a playground bully; actually, it is the very opposite. Part of the Rangers revival is a new understanding within Ibrox that, coupled with a zero tolerance attitude toward the club’s detractors and enemies, Rangers have a responsibility to lead the game in Scotland. This means championing the rights of all clubs and not oppressing the smaller ones.
  3. I wish to confirm that I have not received an “injunction” nor even, as we are in Scotland, an interdict from Rangers Football Club Ltd. Posted by Paul McConville http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/ There's an awful lot of obsession from the dark side in this link.....
  4. Anyone on here got a rough idea what the turnover of Rangers is just now, and how much percentage of that is going towards wages?
  5. They'll be soiling their tracksuits, choking on their gum and dropping their clipboards on that news.
  6. 33% of turnover might be quite a lot of wages, depending on turnover of course. I read on another thread Bayern Munich's ST prices are £96. Anyone know what percentage of wages to turnover their players get? They must be getting in a helluva lot of sponsorship money.
  7. Bloody hell!! GOAL of the millennium I would think...I stopped watching that game at 1-1
  8. So when C*lt*c say - 'we'll put down a tenner' our reply will be - 'we'll put down a fiver'

  10. Documents seen by STV's Scotland Tonight programme show that the Sevco consortium wants to restrict wages to 33% of turnover, barely half the average ratio for SPL clubs. The owners also plan to increase season ticket prices by 20% in 2014 followed by a further 15% hike the following year as the club is expected to climb up through the divisions. http://local.stv.tv/glasgow/200640-rangers-plan-wage-caps-and-season-ticket-hikes-to-revive-club/ Scotland tonight is on STV at 10.15pm
  11. Full time...
  12. 84th min Rhodes scores again, wrongfully ruled out for offside. Colin Stein still remains last Scotland player to score a hat-trick (17th May 1969)
  13. 47th min. Luxembourg score first ever goal v Scotland it's now 1-2
  14. Half-time Luxembourg 0-2 Scotland Jordan Rhodes scored both goals.

  16. Maybe it's to fool foreign players into thinking they're signing for an English team. The first ever 'Champions League style' league cup table involving Rangers 1946. 17. A wage cap would mean difficulty in attracting certain players, better players, no?
  18. Just been mentioned on STV news by John McKay, Green talking about a wage cap on Rangers players.
  19. The format will introduce a 16-team top flight which has two automatic relegation places and a further relegation place for the loser of a play-off between the 13th and 14th placed teams. Each side will play 30 games in the standard season but there will be an expanded "Champions League style" League Cup competition. The second tier, called the Championship, comprises 10 sides, two of which will be automatically promoted and a third side will go up after a play-off between the third and fourth placed teams. There are two automatic relegation places and the eighth placed team faces a play-off with the third, fourth and fifth placed side from the third tier. The bottom side in the three leagues would play the best side from a pyramid structure to keep their league status. A winter break for the Premier Division is incorporated into the proposal. The plans would require a merger between the SFL and the Scottish Premier League but it is hoped that the redesign would deliver a better product for fans and increase revenue. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/aberdeen/200586-scottish-football-league-reveal-detail-of-radical-restructure-plans/
  20. ...in his day he also had a few opposition forwards 'bricking it'
  21. He 'f*cked up' probably should have said "a minute's silence for the huns"!!
  22. Ally could afford to drop another 30 points on top of the nine he's already lost and Rangers will still finish top. That's how easy this league is.
  23. Aye, I'm sure Tiger Tim got the bullet as club announcer of timmy for teasing Rangers. Such is life.
  24. On this day 1953 21 years old Bobby Shearer scored for newly promoted Hamilton Accies at Ibrox. The game ended 8-1 goalscorers were Thornton (4) Waddell (2) Hubbard & Simpson.
  25. Found this on the official Bayern site: To allow the club's substantial number of travelling fans to see as many home games as possible, Bayern operate a 21,000 limit on season ticket sales. From what I also read they fill their ground to capacity every game.
