Every Saturday we follow isnt one I experienced at Ibrox as it wasnt doing the rounds when I was going to games. However I find Every Other Saturday a vintage classic which used to get blasted in the 90s on a Friday night in the park drinking the Merrydown and K Cider (and the odd Diamond White which was only bought of the other 2 were sold out) towards all my Aberdeen mates before heading down in on the train on a Saturday morning.

One of my personal favourites

And Barry F which is a relief.

I made an error in going to bed at 2-1.

A win would be great but a draw wouldnt be a disaster if they also beat Leicester at the weekend because Chelsea have to go up to Newcastle on Sunday so something has to give there.
-
That late Newcastle penalty changes things for top 5 seen as they have a better goal difference to Forest and Villa. Forest have to get something at Palace tonight. But its Newcastle v Chelsea next weekend so there will still be a twist.

I would if the deal was right. Another season loan would be a good option.

Better team on the day. Id have kept Cerny on, nothing was coming off for him but he was due a bit of luck and could have unlocked that defence. 7 points off them over the season and the better team in 5 of the last 6 meetings. Sort our form against the rest of the league and we are challenging. -

So far so good. Hope you have lumped on it. Perhaps a wee cash out shortly..... -

Nice one Cyril! Cracking take and finish. Would have been a possible Penalty if he didnt score, his shirt was being pulled big time but defenders cant handle the sheer strength of him and a cracking dummy from Cerny. -

Short term and retaining his current condition / fitness then he would score for fun. Plus Defoe was easily the best finisher at 37 when he was with us. But it would be the wrong type of signing for me. Id also imagine he will be hunting a nice fat salary for 12 months in either the US or Middle East. A Premier League club may also take a punt on him for a year - like Leeds! -
Is this your choice of line up or what you think BF will go with? See for me Cerny and Hagi HAVE to play, they are the creativity and ones who are capable of that bit of magic. The same high energy application as the previous matches is needed, get right into them and win every ball - its shown in the last few games they cant handle that and are not use to it.

4 out of 5 results yesterday, a recent good turnaround. If Arsenal blow second and get knocked out by PSG the fans will be wanting Arteta out.
-
What a division. Id love to see Rangers in that league as a pathway to the Premier League if we could get into the English league and start in League 2. Middlesboro, West Brom and Blackburn just had silly runs with no wins in 6 which cost them. Millwall put on a good late charge. I cant stand Wilder and Sheff Utd so will be wanting Bristol City to go to Wembley. I previously didnt mind Coventry and see them as an original top flight club but seeing Lampard more often would be annoying so Im hoping for Sunderland who I wanted to go up automatically - but they seem like they have been playing the U12s for the last 6 weeks.

Id bring Butland back in. Centre half is tricky as I do like Nsiala. And how will Balogun be with missing a few games and playing with a mask. Jefte is good going forward as a wing back but id rather another more offensive player so would start with a back 4. So its between Cortes on the left with Hagi in the middle or Igamane playing behind Dessers and giving Hagi a slightly more wider role (which he is more then capable of) and I'll go with the latter. Butland Tavernier Souttar Nsiala Jefte Raskin Diomande Cerny Igamane Hagi Dessers

City will make CL now for sure. Still no word on their 115 which would have a point deduction taken them out of the top 5.

Considering our recent home record its quite short but I do think its worth a few bucks and will come up. As for guard of honour - it cant even be in the conversation. Imagine the fans in Argentina if River Plate gave Boca Juniors one! The same application is needed from the players as the previous few matches against them. Hagi and Cerny have to be brought back into the starting line up and Id go 4 at the back as we have been playing better when switching to this (Aberdeen away, Bilbao second half....) -
Just realised the weekend fixtures start tonight - Come on Wolves, keep this winning run going but it will be tough. Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs will all rest players this weekend. Man City 2-1 Wolves Aston Villa 3-0 Fulham Everton 2-0 Ipswich Leicester 3-2 Southampton Arsenal 0-1 Bournemouth Brentford 2-1 Man Utd Brighton 3-3 Newcastle West Ham 2-0 Tottenham Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool Crystal Palace 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Is it fizzling out for Forest? Bad result. But its not like Villa who are a bit behind, they can still make top 5 and its in their own hands because they play Chelsea at home and Chelsea also have to go to Newcastle.
-
I think its job done as far as Man Utd are concerned but Tottenham conceding late on gives Bodo a huge chance. They have a great home record and have the advantage of the plastic pitch so are capable of getting a 2-0 lead on the night then its anyones game. A Man Utd v Tottenham final would be good to see.
-
No harm to make the announcement on the Eve of a Rangers v Celtic match 😎
-
Nottingham Forest play their game in hand tonight at home to Brentford. A win puts them back into 3rd and a draw puts them 5th. They have to go for it. So hopefully a home win I'll take Forest 2-0 Brentford.

Throw in the fact they have backed this manager for once rather than fallen down the road of letting the dressing room run things. They have had good managers but they were rowing upstream. Its amazing how people and pundits are respecting them a bit more now.

Upgrading / updating stadiums is what clubs need to aim for rather than capacity. Arsenal, Man City, West Ham, Spurs all have bigger stadiums that have killed atmosphere and attracted tourists. Highbury, Upton Park and White Hart Lane were all superb atmospheres. Chelsea staying at Stamford Bridge would be their better option but upping the capacity to around 55000. This is going to work well for Aston Villa and Leeds who are upping their grounds to around 53000. Newcastle can move to the site behind St James and they will still get 60000 Geordies. They will all still be proper football stadiums. But Chelsea's owners are split, one wants to stay at SB and the other wants to move to Earls Court. Meanwhile they are looking at going to Twickenham during any construction - that will be interesting to see what attendances they get. Wembley is another option.
