Honestly, the last 4 weeks has been the best football Ive seen from a Rangers team since Advocaats first 2 years. I do not think its a coincidence that: 1) We have set out to WIN games 2) Have a settled team (no changes in 4 or 5 games) 3) Not just a settled team but players playing in their natural positions. Ive always said if we play to our strengths then we are capable of blowing teams away.....the evidence of this is 5-0 at Fir park, 4-0 at tannadice, 5-1 at rugby park, 4-0 v Hearts. Fair play to the team for spirit also, they dig deep and dragged out ugly wins at Hamilton, St Johnstone and Aberdeen before the good run began. Its a bit like the 2003 team who scored over 100 goals from all over the place. Myself and Pete have always said this when Boyd was playing that we were capable of getting goals from all over rather than a slow poacher. No Boyd = No Goals = No title = hahaha  From a personal point of view: Allan Mcgregor...cant speak highly enough of him. this season Ive said he is in the top 5 keepers in the UK, i wouldnt swap him for any keeper in the Premier League in England. He is the most improved player in SPL history. Top man! Kenny Miller - I was gutted Miller left in january. I was happy he signed 3 years ago much to some Bears dismae, but his work ethic and pace was always going to be an asset, he finally came good with his finishing this season and then we sold him. Kenny deserves a huge mention to this title...and he is still the SPL top scorer this season. Jelavic - A Dado Prso in the making?? Thats a complement enough! Vlad Weiss - Probably my fave player this year, I really liked him and the way he just gets the ball and has a go. He has caught the Rangers bug and I hope we get him signed up. The Youngsters - Hutton, Ness, Wylde! Showing the likes of Fleck and Wilson how its done.....Brilliant contribution from these 3.

Holy shit Ive no idea how I managed to get home and post this..... but what a party we had at the Rangers Bar in Singapore. A great turnout, not mobbed or over busy but just perfect.....The songs were blasting from the off....it felt like we were in the away end at an OF game. Thats as good a sing song and bounce Ive ever had....we sang the full 90 mins and everyone was well behaved....guys ranging from 20 to 75 were there. Me being the local dragged 4 guys who were passing through or working and took them onto a pub crawl after the game.....and the Rangers were in town.....we upset a few Aussies who were out celebrating some shite game and we took over their party Ohhh...time for a beer.

Ive been up for 6 hours. Dare say if the folks werent here Id have cracked open the first can of laga laga laga at 7am but must remain sensible. Heading out shortly for a small lunch then let the festivities begin! Absolute scorthing day of 36oC so its the old shorts n t-shirt....just need a Gers win to top everything off.

Its went a bit quiet in the last year or 2 mate as the owner passed away. His wife is still keeping it going. Their is still a group of regulars who go. OF games are busy but I admit I dont go their regularly for games as I am not out on Sunday nights (if we are playing sunday afternoons), so tend to watch at home. I expect a big turnout tomorrow though.

Yeah scrap friendlies apart from testimonials. Tournaments like Emirates tournament before the season have much more about them. This is why I liked the return of the home nations plus Ireland as it should have a bit of competition. Scotland v England would be a welcome return friendly as it wouldnt exactly be a friendly.

Seen as the bird and my mum are tagging along with me and my Dad we will have to keep them half happy so the plan is Raffles hotel for Singapore Slings at lunch time, then a quality German bar called Brewertz down by the river, which like Johnny brews all its own beer, until late afternoon. For the match it will either be the Sportsbar (Davie Cooper Memorial Bar) or grab a carry out and watch it in the comforts at home.

Great stuff Dan, That would be my top pick for a game to go to.

Havent decided where Im drinking yet, Ive got the folks over from UK. But it will be an early start around 1pm for a good 6 hours drinking before kick off. Im off Monday and tuesday so let the party continue.

I'll go one further and expect him to move to Liverpool first for about 7 million followed by a move to either Birmingham or Blackburn within 18 months for less than 4 million.

We should be doing everything to keep McGregor. Most improved player in the last 20 years, he's gone past Hutton's level of improvement for me. If he wants 25k then surely a deal could be reach where he gets a lower basic but gets bonuses for clean sheets and match winning saves which he has done this season.

Common sense in the championship. Ive always thought the same for Champions league and UEFA cup matches also. After 90 mins of the 2nd leg the away goal rule should be scrapped as it does give the away team an extra 30 mins to score. In fact away goals should be scrapped altogether. The first leg could be played in pissing down rain on a terrible pitch but the 2nd game could be played on a sunny night with a smooth pitch given the away team an advantage again.

Fixed that for you I want the winners of this game to go up. Ive had a sneaky feeling Swansea would go up for weeks but it would be nice to see Forest back in the top flight. Do away goals count in the play offs?? If so its a decent 0-0 for Forest as they can score at Swansea who would then need 2. An interesting final would be Cardiff v Swansea. I wonder if that would be switched to Millenium stadium or kept at Wembley.

Crikey, the thought of that makes me nervous. Sack waiting 76 mins!!!

Im a bit more nervous today than I was starting this thread yesterday!!

That would be the kick Alan Thompson gave the guy. The idiot must be use to be arrested, look at 1min into the clip - his hands are together already waiting for the cuffs.
-
Terrible situation. Lennon has a mouth on him but this is a low level which nobody deserves. As said the idiot could have had anything in his hands. Hearts will get hammered but it will have a knock on effect for the rest of the SPL and I can see serious things taken here like closed door games. There is already an agenda against the OF with bigotry etc and this is going to implement strong changes. Its a difficult one for the stewards. There is maybe 1 or 2 stewards around each exit looking after a section of perhaps 50-100 fans, they cant expect this sort of thing to happen, the guy could have been standing up to go for a pie or to the toilet, yet when its too late the steward cant stop him accessing the pitch which is easy to access anyway. Stewards going to have to be robots and have it drilled into them that everyone who now stands up is a potential threat. There is vigilance and there is over vigilant.

.....Yip as he leads out Cardiff next season

Easily worth a tenner. although Im liking the draw.
-
The one I disagree with is Whittaker. No more than a 6 for me. Blew hot and cold but more often cold....when he was awful he was really awful, but was capable of good games also.
-
And McCulloch and Hutton.....
-
The only SPL players id consider adding would be Eremenko and Templeton. Was quite impressed with the latter last Saturday. Goodwillie has a bit of talent so could be another.
-
Dont disagree with much of that.

What is refreshing is Hutton, Ness and Wylde are like 3 new signings. They have all established themselves in the matchday squad. A solid centre half and centre midfielder would be on top of my list.
