  1. Just realised a couple of re-arranged games on Wednesday night. Im wondering if the Toffees will stop Man Citys winning run but if City turn it on then it only goes one way. Burnley 0-0 Fulham Everton 0-2 Man City
  2. Agreed, I said similar on another thread that Celtic will struggle to get to Mid 80s Pts so I think we are about 2 wins away.
  3. Ive never liked Crocker commentating Scottish games for 20 years now, he just doesnt have the voice for it. I saw his interview with Si Ferry and he seems like a decent guy but I just cant listen to him considering there has been cracking commentators since I started watching football. Id love Martin Tyler to do OF Derbies or bring back Archie OOOOmmppppph McPherson.
  4. Cracking win for the Hammers, but got to keep on doing it. In the last few seasons this was a game where Sheff Utd would have probably won. Spurs at home on the weekend is a must win if they want to dream big. The Tuchel appointment is proven the right one for Chelsea, he has made them much more solid to begin with and to be sitting 4th already shows he is a big upgrade from Lampard.
  5. Good to see Aubameyang back scoring with a smile on his face, that could lift Arsenal up the table. All of a sudden they are only 6 pts off top 4. I maybe spoke too soon about Fulham, that win at Goodison has given them a slight sniff. They are only 7 behind Newcastle now and still have to play them. Fulham are at home to Sheff Utd next week while Newcastle have Chelsea away tonight and Man Utd away next weekend so it could be 4 points gap this time next week. A great escape could be on.
  6. Im not sorry to see Sheff Utd go. I dont mind Fulham but they havent been good enough. WBA - I didnt mind under Bilic but its maybe time Sam got relegated. Agree RE Brentford, they are appealing. I have wanted Bristol City to come up over the past few years but they keep coming up short in the play offs - they are a potential big side. Blackburn were my dark horse for the play offs this year. But the big boys in the championship are not close at the moment.
  7. Agreed. No idea why Klopp is disrupting the midfield aswell as the defence, he should just play the new signings or the youngsters at centre back and keep the midfield strong. As George Graham once said - If you dont have 2 class centre halfs then play 3. Liverpool could easily be playing 5-3-2 at the moment. The title is pretty much wrapped up, City are on a roll, they would need a big blip for a couple of weeks. Relegation is also finalised - no way are the bottom 3 getting out of it. Its all about CL places now.
  8. Alisson horror show again for Liverpool, gifted Leicester the lead. The Liverpool opener was a beauty with immense skill from Firmino. I did want to put Leicester on my predictor but felt Liverpool's away form would get them something. Glad the first Leicester goal was allowed, there was no way it would have been offside if nobody touched it. Good start for Burnley. 1-0 up at Palace already.
  9. There was service and configuration errors throughout the night UK time and couldnt read anything - however I went to the main site for the first time in a while and spent time reading some cracking articles. Possible strongest XI today, Helander aside. I hope we can get a nice lead early on and give Defoe and Arfield some minutes in the second half.
  10. Rangers 2-0 Kilmarnock Kent FGS
  11. And they get the Manchester clubs albeit home ties. Everton v Man City Bournemouth v Southampton Leicester v Man Utd Chelsea v Sheff Utd
  12. Pot luck this weekend. Leicester 1-1 Liverpool Crystal Palace 0-1 Burnley Man City 2-0 Tottenham Brighton 0-1 Aston Villa Southampton 2-2 Wolves West Brom 0-3 Man Utd Arsenal 2-0 Leeds Everton 2-0 Fulham West Ham 1-1 Sheff Utd Chelsea 3-0 Newcastle
  13. Wouldnt have had a 5-4 down at Goodison with two managers known for solid defending. Man City are the team to beat but if they were to somehow get knocked out then it would be anyone's cup. A good chance for Leicester / Everton to go on and win it.
  14. Dont see that. They way West Ham are at the moment means Moyes is likely to land a 2 year extension. He has surprised me how well he has done, I thought it was going to be a long relegation battle especially after the opening defeat at home to Newcastle.
  15. Agree with Bill there, I like to see this also. Didnt realise the relationship was back to the 70s. Obviously there is certain unofficially relationships with various clubs in England - seems to be Arsenal and Chelsea the main two but to nail an official partnership is good.
  16. Never good away to the big boys. However sights are obviously set on the top 4. Moyes is naive like that.
  17. Id like to see Dyche go to a bigger club and see what he can do. Before Moyes at West Ham I was scream for Benitez but Dyche would have been my second pick.
  18. Good call there sir.
  19. Cousin - yes unplayable when he wanted to be. I remember that goal he scored at Parkhead and ran straight to Super Ally who had told Walter to play him. He was also outstanding against Barca at Ibrox.
  20. There is absolutely no doubt Stevie G has gotten 20-30% extra out of the current squad - he has installed the hunger he had as a player. Current team is similar to the 92-93 Famous side with no real individuals - just a pure well oiled machine.
  21. Scott - I'll give you a chance of a comeback with these Burnley 2-0 Bournemouth Man Utd 4-2 West Ham Swansea 1-5 Man City Leicester 3-0 Brighton Sheff Utd 2-0 Bristol sweet Cities Everton 1-0 Tottenham Wolves 2-0 Southampton Barnsley 0-3 Chelsea (Werner hat-trick)
  22. Thats another landslide
  23. Weir, Naismith and Jelavic . Naismith would be absolutely perfect in our team right now, he is an upgrade to Arfield. Despite my dislike for him in the past he was still a good player. Jelavic all round game and attitide pips Morelos and Weir was an outstanding professional and you need him. Bar those 3 Im not taking anyone else. Kent v Weiss is interesting - both world beaters on their day. Kent has done is more for me though, Weiss was great when he wanted to be.
  24. Papac over Barasic. Not for me. Im taking the latter bud.
  25. Still pedantic I see ? Yeah I bought Bayer into it because thats the real defeat Ive seen - bar that. St Mirren a one off and forgotten about.
