Interesting, I dont really see much Anelka in him. He reminds me a bit like Daniel Cousin who could be unplayable on his day.

match thread (image) [FT] Rangers 3 - 1 Hearts (Kent 3, Morelos 13, Arfield 32)

Agreed, from the games Ive watched Katic looks quality and the best so far. I think the addition of Worrell is clever though as we need 4 centre halfs for the amount of games and Gerrard is just giving them all game time. With McAuley and McCrorie then the position is covered. -
Cheers buddy, it was a busy summer. Hope your well.

gpl predictions (image) Bluebear54's GPL 2018/19: Rangers vs Hearts

Rangers 2-0 Hearts Morelos FGS (no need to add me to the table if there is still one). So long as there is no hangover from Thursday then it should be a win. The Edinburgh sides have done OK at Ibrox in the last season or two so its time to correct that. -
Having him sign a new contract was vital he has been a good find. Was it JJ who got him over? Gerrard obviously rates him and likes him playing on the edge which I agree with and having Lafferty as a back up is good business.

How you doing Pete. Was listening to you on the podcast a few times, good stuff. (grumpy old bugger) ?

Assumption is the mother of all f*** ups, yet because you said this we will let you off. ? Calscots fingers have probably worn away with the length of his posts ?

What's the best atmosphere you have seen at Ibrox?

Like Ian said Parma was good but probably Bayern Munich under Advocaat. 1-1 going on 10-1 -
Ooosh... All I can say is Everton though. Ive done 3 aways today. Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City.
-
Your right mate Saturday card not the best and I just reluctantly parted with 50 bucks on a Burnley, Watford and Everton Treble. Watford is my iffy one. I fancy Everton strongly today with a good price. I do like Klopp but cant stand Liverpool and think its time Pep got one back on them. I just think Man City are starting to show a bit of professional class which eluded them previously. Arsenal are really intriguing at the moment, same personnel mainly but over a few transfer windows may have some quality and this gaffer likes attacking football. Im not fully convinced yet but they are good to watch and they could sneak top 4. Tottenham need 3 squad players or they will have a bad time mid season.

Yo Scott...how you doing mate. Im taking a Man City win this weekend, I hope they go there and stuff liverpool. Elsewhere. Arsenal should win and are building something, a few good signings and they will be awesome.

Thought the first half was average with good effort. Second half was immense. Whats good about things now is Gerrard installs and expects what he did...and unlike Roy Keane he has social skills to relay this. League position is fake at present, we were by far the better side at Pittodrie and should have had another 2 pts. Motherwell and Livi was two out of the blue games we would get in any era except they were close together and Im sure Stevie will sort that. Im quite enjoying RTV except the sound quality from the stadium is shite though...

The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals
Gribz replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Solanke and Ings were mentioned on Premier League TV on Saturday. Don Hutch said Liverpool are bringing in a world class striker and it will allow one or both of these to go north with Stevie G. -
Docherty on. Christ, he should have started along with Goss. Its easy maths.
-
Goal difference taking a hiding here, that was an extra point in the fight for second. Its now bordering unsafe if we lose at Aberdeen and Hibs.
-
No other team in the league get a whipping like this, its embarrassing and its due to behind the scenes nonsense. Beaten in the mind before kick off.
-
This is appalling. Not even teams like Hamilton or Partick gift them and get walked through like that. Massive internal issues and I hope that is relayed to the incoming manager.
-
Alnwick looks a decent shot stopper but there has been a lot of chopping and changing in the back 5 they wont get a good understanding. Thats something that needs massively addressed in the summer - a settled defence and if 1 or 2 go in and out with injury etc then the understanding still has to be there. I never thought Id say we need a Barry Ferguson mentality but thats exactly what the midfield is screaming out for today.
-
To be fair, two good early saves from him. But with the McGregor rumours I cant help hope they are true and see a top quality keeper again in a short few months. Im wondering about Halliday though. He was shipped out to Azerbaijan not so long ago, that says a lot yet all of a sudden a starter in 2 OF games in a row. Personally Id have dragged Wallace in and made him play for his wages today.

I was starting to think Walter for a year would be best option to steady things - it may still be that way if 'Ger'rard doesnt take it. However on Gerrard, he seems to have this inner drive, scary inner drive to succeed and he is an absolute winner. I dont see it as a risk in the same boat as Pedro or Warburton. Gerrard has been there and seen it and had pressure - he is British and from a passionate city similar to Glasgow and will know far more of the expectations than the previous 2. He demands high levels. The comparing with Souness taking over in the 80s cant be looked at - Souness took over a side who had the potential to be amongst the big boys in Europe, however i can see the compare in the two individuals - both absolute winners. However Souness was a Rangers fan, Gerrard isnt, bar that they do have similarities. I dont remember Souness much as a player but would have Gerrard in my all time Premier League XI anyway. If he takes it then its big yes for me. One thing thats went under the radar is the Gary Mac inclusion. I think thats huge. Ive said for years he would be a cracking assistant for us (said the same about the late great Ray Wilkins) and Gary Mac brings the 'know whats its like to be a Ranger' factor. I am 50/50 as to if this will happen, he may just feel its not the time. But Id be happy with it.

Why would you want that in the first place? Bizarre. Almost minded like they are.
-
And we have to retain this next season. No point taking a few steps forward only for the floor to be wiped. The view on Murty would be another interesting thread. Seems to be doing certain things right. but crikey would I like to see Warnock come in for a year.
-
I think Man City could batter Arsenal today by 3 or 4. A lot saying Arsenals recent record at Wembley could see them through but I think Man City will turn it on big time today. Obviously hoping Arsenal win but they are patching a team together. Losing Giroud, Walcott and Ox has left Arsenal short in depth and they havent replaced them. In the bigger game of the day it would be good to see Conte rock up and win at Old Trafford.

Not sure about your maths there ......if the difference is 6 and they lose today, it would be 7 we need to make up. And we still have to play them twice.
