If we are talking sandwiches, I make these everyday and todays devine is: Wholemeal bread Tad of butter Refried beans spread over slice of honey baked ham Slice of chedder Drop of tobasco Taco sauce That would reopen Partick and give your marriages a 5 year extension.

No, I see what you are saying but nobody is suggesting giving Walter or Big Eck 3 year deals. Its about putting someone in place to run the ship for a few months while the board identify the next manager. It really is shambolic by the board. Murty is a credible guy but id rather have a save pair of hands TBH.
-
Just until the end of the season though. He is proven at being an impact manager.
-
Have to say at this point Id put Big Eck in charge until the end of the season. Murty has something in him but its not "win every game". Big Eck knows he has to win games. The Board then need to identify a new man by next summer.
-
For me changing a winning team is a no no. I was hit a wee bit earlier in the season for saying Jack isnt good enough, but he wouldnt have been brought into my team today.
-
Come on you Irons. Moyes - now start being cocky son. He has made a player out of Arnuatovic who looked like a spare plum under Bilic.
-
Yes mate, we need to build from the bottom. This isnt a one off result. We have drew with Kilmarnock and a poor Hearts at home this season (albeit under PC) and now lost to Hamilton and St Johnstone. That should be 12 points for a solid Rangers. There is a weakness somewhere.
-
Just not surprised with the result at all. This seems common. There is still something missing from being a strong team again. I dont blame Murty, its just being part of a rebuilding process but these games like Hamilton have to be where we start winning. It undoes all the good work away at difficult grounds.

Thats it. Plus dont give him the added pressure of being permanent manager, Just let him continue what he is doing.

Ex-Mexico international slams former Rangers boss Caixinha
Gribz replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
PC Really is a bizarre guy, likeable but still cant work out if he was a manager or not. -
Its Strange that games today still give a feeling of potential banana skin. Growing up this would be a straight forward 3-0 but I'll take any win today. Keep the momentum going is key.

I thought they had maybe ran out of tuna and hearty italian bread

Hoping Spurs can beat these buggars today but with a few defensive misses it hampers them. Going forward Spurs are still good after their blip but Dele Alli isnt clicking. Im going to have a flutter on Man City 1-2 Tottenham. Somebody has to beat them. Elsewhere what a game at Stoke today. Big test for Hughes and Moyes. I dont get Moyes current over confidence, steer West Ham away from the bottom then start being cocky and confident. West Ham are notorious for winning the odd big game i.e. Chelsea last week and Arsenal point in midweek but have to start showing up in games like this.

I think if Dorrans had been playing in a more settled line up and in a more favoured role we would have seen better from him. He certainly hasnt done bad, I think fans expected more though. Had a fully fit Kranjcar and Dorrans been available together more often then I think ratings would have been higher.
-
Why would you make so many changes to a winning team and bring in Herrera who hasnt looked like he can offer much. The winning run needs continue and Herrera will just need to be patient. He should be doing what Giroud does at Arsenal, come off the bench and impress.
-
TBH I wouldnt break the pattern and feeling at the moment, Murty may feel added pressure if he had the gig permanently, he seems to be doing fine as a temporary. We are in good hands for the time being until the right manager is identified whether that be today or March. An appointment in March wouldnt be a good thing as it gives an incoming manager a short run of games to assess what he has in the squad in competitive games.

[FT] Hibernian 1 - 2 Rangers (Windass 42; Morelos 45)
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Things beginning to tick. Away wins at Hearts, Aberdeen and Hibs. Prior to these we were doubting how many wins we could get. Murty is quietly doing a cracking job. -
Jol is someone Ive always liked and thought about but not sure whats he has done in the last 5 years.
-
But its still credit to Murty as under PC we were being caught by likes of Motherwell plus Aberdeen had a big lead. Celtic can remain undefeated but if they are picking up regular draws its not a bad thing, it will always be 2 points dropped IMO and so long as we continue winning the majority of games we will 1) cement 2nd place and 2) we may even get in a title race yet. Someone will beat them eventually and games will catch up with them. We just need more of the same and go to Easter Road this week and pick up another win.

I think they do have players to at least have an attack minded go. Why Juan Mata didn't start is beyond me. They missed Pogba but should have had Mata, Martial and Rashford as the 3 behind the No.9 (Zlatan for me). I actually think they should have played Shaw at LB also, a more natural defender. I think Man Utd are in a false position, they haven't been nearly as good as their 2nd position suggests, its just Liverpool and Arsenal are too inconsistent plus Spurs hit a blip.

CL Draw for first KO round: RMad v PSG,.. ooft
Gribz replied to buster.'s topic in General Football Chat
Its a cracking draw and shows that finishing top in the group is no longer a big advantage. Juve v Spurs is tasty also. City should stroll through but Basel have a cracking record at home against English clubs. Porto v Liverpool in the balance and Man Utd have a tough one against Sevilla. -
I really think Tuchel is out of our reach, he must be looking for a top 4 job in Germany, France, Italy, England or Spain. But why shouldnt we approach him and you never know. use the million we were going to squander on McInnes to pay him.
-
That will be the title over then. City are on course to break all records, they will break the points tally record and win the league in the quickest time.
-
I dont know what you are trying to insinuate but lets stay on topic about Rangers Manager. If you have any issues please PM me.
-
How do you work that out? Best result is nobody turns up! But a Hibs win gives a nicer outlook on the table. We will pull away from them. Well done Murty today BTW. I think he gets more respect than the last 2 managers.
