Which is an assumption. Much like most of what is posted here. We hear about this sum or that, but no-one on here or in the press has any hard figures to work with. Not that this will stop people from giving their opinion. My last info about WH bid was 3.2m up front and the rest of those 7m some day in the future. My last info about the Everton deal was 8m, with apparently 5.5m up front and add-ons. Possibly, if there's a lower fee, some neat sell-on clause. In the end, all just hearsay, assumption and more often than not, speculation.

We said that about Miller too when Boyd jumped ship. BTW, Hemmings will be back soon, Lafferty in a few weeks time. Aluko can play as a striker, Celik can, Little can ... the point remains that without Jela, the attacking midfield finally took on some responsibility of late.

In this case? When they have half a dozen strikers already? Methinks we were linked with Brozek, Salihi and Uchebo first, then they jumped into the queue. That said, who knows what the Scottish press reports and what is true anyways.

Re Holt, someone (media via FF) has claimed that our bid "fell too short" ... they don't want to sell and can demand to their hearts' content. Never heard of him, but them snatching at our heels is becoming irritating.

Regarding ... First, they snap up Brozek, then they are looking at Salihi and Uchebo, now they are also interested in this chap. Will they indeed sell their Magic Hooper to a Russian club to balance the books again or prepare for a league that - in their wildest dreams - has no Rangers but another Hooped B-Team? BTW, this chap looked very bright indeed in that LC semi-final.

According to FF, they brought all the news about our interest in Holt and that Albanian Salihi, i.e. nothing new. And a bit behind schedule, since Holt will not leave Norwich according to his manager. Some tossers at SSN these days.

... of course, the same holds true with any bids for Jela. As I said last week, we should have set a deadline for our top performers (e.g. Saturday), all bids thereafter would be rebuffed (unless they are ridiculous). Was not going to happen and I just hope that Ally was prepared for the current scenario. NB: Keep us updated johnnyk! I just hope they don't tell us that we have let Jela go!

Now here's one from out of the blue (and you read it here first!) ... it looks like we are interested in VfL Wolfburg striker Patrick Helmes, according to an article in the German (rather respectable) FAZ (last sentence). Also linked are Dortmund and Hannover, will check about this later on. He's got a decent record, but has failed (for some reason) to break into the first team and plays in their reserves these days).

... that happens when you want to be the first with any news. I think he was actually referring to Claros now, as some other report does. Re Holt ... never expected us to sign him now. We should avoid the EPL by default. Is Billy Sharp still available?
