A new ownership battle - an impossible situation?
bluebear54 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
This is what my first thoughts were. Is it true? We're not exactly surrounded by honesty. Either Green, the media, Media House or people at the Club. -

Speak for yourself, FS. -
We do manage to keep the paper sales going - don't we? If it wasn't for Rangers stories, they would all be dead. Faktum.
-
Well there's a few worthies - or ex worthies - in the banking world. Fred the Shred anyone? That would help support the red tops failing sales. Which seems to be all we do these days. I do think we should separate the role of CEO and singular spokesman for the Club. Let the CEO get on with the job of running the business. Let's have a single spokesman. Ally, Walter, John McMillan or Mark. Just joking. Truly. Walter.

Board made aware of more links between Green and Whyte

I worry too. We should really try to bring ourselves together. Factions don't work in our favour. Especially in times like this. And that's a fact. -
Martin Bain poised to return as Rangers chief executive

Don't think it matters in the long run. He was there. Therefore, he'll generated media copy and speculation. We need someone squeaky clean. -

What with Paul Murray resurfacing and the bickering in full swing, today's a wee bit of a Groundhog Day for me. Just waiting for Brian Kennedy to rock up and we can all have a reunion party. -

Care to expand on why you would welcome him for personal reasons? We can keep it a secret between you, me, the Board and the Internet if you want. -

Excellent dB. Can we point this out to our ever savvy media. -

Wouldn't really know where to start in judging how the Rangers church will view this. Forum's are generally unhappy, to put it mildly. I would have thought there are a few million better candidates out there. Strikes me once again that we're the only show in town, and ANY story about the Rangers sells copy. Probably a victim of our own success. Probably why we're despised. My take - as I said I'm sure there are zillions of CEOs out there who could bring more to the table than Bain. If true, not sure this is the move that will shift 40,000 season tickets. -
Please sir - can I please, please, please, please have JT's job in the 14 days prior to the appointment and the 7 days after. I could honestly make these cretins look like the tosspots they are. All disinformation will be free, and my time won't cost the Club a penny.

if Whyte owned Ibrox or MP Ticketus would take it or the proceeds. At present time Whyte's a dead man walking. Look on the bright side if it's true, we die and so does all of Scottish football. Without us, they're all dead men walking.
-
Thought this would happen. However, surprised how quickly. Perhaps we still need the examination just in case Regan and Lawwell get ideas. So - what about Ahmed? Guilt by association?
-
It would never work bigy. Too upfront and honest for Scottish football. To push through changes you need to be sneaky devious and malicious.
-
Funny, that transaction crossed my mind too when the Earley brothers cropped up again. No doubt they're up to their neck. Hope they get dragged down with Whyte. By the neck.

SPL secretary to 'have a look' at whether league rules can be suspended
bluebear54 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
That definitely looks like a "Thanks, but no thanks" message to me. Well done SFL Interesting times. I think Regan and Doncaster will cling on for a year or so, but they will eventually crawl away in humiliation. -
We don't have a vote, and can't give a mandate. If we were to be disenfranchised and financially severely affected by the SFA/SFL/SPL acting extraordinarily out with their rules, surely we have a clear case for legal action - if not the Club, then the RFFF.
-
Well, Donald Findlay didn't exactly miss Regan and Doncaster did he? Maybe the tide's on the turn.

Gilmour - If I was you I would think about quitting
bluebear54 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
So Doncaster and Lawwell aren't even sharing details of the TV deal or sponsorship with member Clubs. Jeez! -
They are actually extremely dangerous. Scottish football is on the brink. Regan and Doncaster have presided over the most bitter divided period in Scottish football history. Not only that, we have plummeted to depths we have never experienced before. Someone must really stop these two before there is no way back. We are very close to that now. it's truly frightening that no one cares or sees it.
-
Just had a look at KDS. Football in this country is being hated out of all existence. I can't see any way back now. The Gilmour vote was apparently a Masonic conspiracy, and we're going to buy St Mirren so that we can leapfrog into the SPL. These f@ckwits would be dangerous with a brain. Actually they would be less dangerous with a brain. Lets remember who destroyed our national game.
-
This is becoming a farce. Has nobody the decency to tell the SFL1 clubs that the money is off the table? Or that in actual fact they would be better off financially staying where they are? I also believe they have invited Dundee along. What about Airdrie, or QoS? Talk about dog eat dog and desperation. It's laughable.
-
Let's wait a wee while to see how much of this is splashed over the red tops and the airwaves. I suspect that it will be very little. If that ends up being the case I really think we should grab the bull by the horns and make it known as widely as possible that we were victims of fraud. Regan and Doncaster should certainly be asked to comment. It's a matter of changing public perception. This isn't innuendo. It's legal opinion.
-
I don't believe this. There was such an almighty rush to get this thing through that there had to be a massive reason for it. The fact that so many like Dundee Hibs, Aberdeen, Hearts, Motherwell, Killie etc were desperate to see it going through says that it was about the effect it would have on them. So, it can only be about SPL's debts and possible insolvency, sponsorship and media money or the SPL totally folding. I can't see any other reasons. Even Milne was talking about major implications flowing through in the short term and the long term, and the game being seriously damaged. No-one has yet stood up and said why. I'm puzzled.
