maybe not to you but you aren't a ref. The rules are clear here it was a pen. A handball should not be awarded if a player is ruled to have handled the ball accidentally. This refers to a player either attempting to protect himself from injury, for example by placing the hands in front of the face and then being hit by the ball, or a player being hit on the arm by the ball without moving towards the ball and without being able to move out of the way. An example might be a snap shot hitting the arm of a defender at point-blank range. However, if a player’s arm is in an unnatural position, for example outstretched or above their head, then a foul should be awarded whether accidental or not.

it is a massively harsh penalty. No advantage is gained by the handball but the rules are clear. penalty all day.

your arms have to be at your side for it not to be a pen. Anything making your silhouette bigger isn't allowed. I could forgive it if mulgrew goes or the other one is a pen and a red perhaps. All round a very poor refereeing performance.

i could go with the Jota one. The Utd handball will never be a clearer pen. What difference does it make who plays the ball before a handball.

our defence is probably the only department that scores anywhere near enough goals for their positions. This is very much an issue for us.

the var can be run from any country and is much easier to get right.
