  1. what a guy. he's giving ally cash to spend and softening us up for acceptance of the transfer embargo at the same time. Intetesting 7 days coming up I expect.
  2. by his account they were trying to throwing money at him he didn't want. but only 10k or so.
  3. the last person I know who started a business was offered finance instantly by his bank. much smaller scale mind you.
  4. I would hope the deal is to see who owns sevco Scotland.
  5. I would very much like Mr findlay to see that paperwork.
  6. celtc will lose more than any other club out of us not being in the spl. that means smaller bonuses and dividends for lawwell and Desmond. they won't be happy.
  7. but surely we wouldn't be reapplying we would be winning a place through promotion. I've not seen the rules for promotion but they I doubt they can arbitrarily refuse it. is this not a simple yes or no vote? I can see how they could say yes with sanctions but how can they say no with sanctions? what I will say is the sfa or sfl may well insist on footballling debts being paid. nothing would surprise me but I don't see how the spl can say no and apply sanctions.
  8. I'm not really sure that will be lawful. any sanction would need to.be as a condition of our entry to the spl. I don't see how they can reasonably refuse us entry but also punish us.
  9. the law on this seems pretty clear. the players are right. that said d&p were pretty insistant the players had to.move accross. perhaps its them we should sue.
  10. if we buy another club then we get their history. I don't think theirs any suggestion we will do that.
  11. David Murray ruined us when he sold us to whyte.
  12. Walter left us in 14 million of debt. less than we could have sold Davis naisy and jelavic for. 3 players he bought. the first time he left we had about 20 million cash at bank.
  13. I concur on the name calling.
  14. demanded or was offered and accepted?
  15. Im not sure. I would have thought he was due back on Thursday. he's not an international after all.
  16. I read he had refused the newco. couldnt blame him he wasn't getting a game.
  17. if d&p decided player redundancy was the answer. given the players would be considered assets they may have decided the staff were more dispensible. just ask g smith.
  18. i wouldn't pin to much hope on footballers taking pay cuts because the circumstances of their club change. but we shall soon see I suppose.
  19. I'm assuming he won't. mostly because he's never said so, nor has anyone else.
  20. the real reason to praise the pay cuts is the fact the not only allowed the other staff to stay on unaffected. they made sure of it by refusing cuts until that was guaranteed in writing. I don't think I've seen any of them complaining about the affect the cuts had on their lifestyle.
  21. of course jig may take a pay cut and I will be wrong about his motives. he did afterall take two previous pay cuts to play for us.
  22. the terms of his contract are guaranteed. you think we include relegation wage reductions in our contracts? what with win bonuses I expect he will earn more this year than last if were in the 3rd.
  23. I said money. he wouldn't be earning 20k a week anywhere else. its quite funny seeing him lionised for doing the exact same think naismith did.
