STILL TIME TO STOP GREEN AND DUFF AND PHELPS

THERE is still time to stop Rangers plunging into Liquidation. Still time to stop Duff and Phelps selling out Rangers to Charles Green and his dodgy gang.

Still time to stop Charles Green getting his grubby money making paws on the title deeds of Ibrox Stadium, the Milngavie training complex and the Albion car park.

There is still time to save Rangers.

But it will mean that whoever steps forward will have to be brave and bold and be willing to go head-to-head and toe-to-toe with under investigation insolvency practitioners, Duff and Phelps.

By calling Duff and Phelpsâ?? bluff and stopping them handing over Rangers Crown Jewels â?? worth more than £100M â?? to greedy, grasping Charles Green and his bunch of secret cohorts

And by calling Charles Greenâ??s bluff too.

To find out if Charles Green and Duff and Phelps are prepared to have their actions and their motives forensically examined under oath in the witness box of the Court of Session

For if Duff and Phelps hand over the Crown Jewels to slippery customer Charles Green, Rangers, as generation after generation of supporters have known them, will cease to exist.

Oh, sure there will be a Rangers Football Club. But it will be a football club with no prime assets. They will be just another football club. No bigger and no more powerful than any other club in Scotland.

With the notable exception of Celtic. Leaving Celtic to go on and on and on to title after title after title, until they sprint past the proud world record of 54 crowns won by Rangers, before disappearing over the horizon.

And all the time the only winner will be grubby money grabber Charles Green, as he coins in the cash from a lease back or similar arrangement of Ibrox Stadium, the Milngavie training complex and the Albion car park.

For that will be the only way for Charles Green to make money from Rangers if his stitch up with Duff and Phelps â?? who are still being investigated by the Insolvency Practitioners Association â?? goes all the way to Liquidation.

Liquidation means a three-year European ban, plus almost certainly sanctions from the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football Association which would hinder Rangers, making it impossible for them to thrive in the top flight.

Meaning there would be no profit to be made there by Charles Green.

And remember, a fast buck is all Charles Green is interested in.

As for the moral high ground of Charles Green insisting that Rangers be allowed to leave the SPL and begin again in the Third Division?

I doubt if even armed with a map and compass and in the company of a spiritual guide, Charles Green is capable of finding the high moral ground.

Since Charles Green first appeared on the scene and was so eagerly welcomed by under suspicion Duff and Phelps, I have been flashing red lights and sounding alarm bells.

But now it is going right down to the wire and Thursdayâ??s meeting of creditors at Ibrox Stadium.

Will it be the last major occasion at the famous old Stadium before Rangers lose the title deeds to their historic field of valour to get-rich-quick chancer, Charles Green?

Or will BDO, appointed by HMRC, and their team led by no nonsense Malcolm Cohen, march through the main doors of Ibrox tomorrow and kick out Duff and Phelps?

Malcolm Cohen and his BDO team are now they key to the whole sorry mess Duff and Phelps and Charles Green have landed Rangers in.

There is still time to stop them. But time is running out.

  2. I don't think the players were - it was more the agents and, as usual, the players were happy for them to act.

The guys did a great thing taking a short term pay loss but they're not going to sacrifice their careers and I wouldn't expect them to.

agreed Frankie. I think people need to prepare themselves here its going to be carnage.

  3. Aye, you're wrong. I replied to your post in another thread about this. The SPL voting on a Rangers newco (according to what's been said today) will be 8-4 and Rangers will have a vote, so we only need 7 other clubs to vote in favour.

I think he means of we agree to remove the 11 to 1 current voting level on rule changes then we get the other 7 votes we need for this.

  4. Especially since my reading of HMRC's statement is that they are pursuing the big tax case as well in that they said Rangers can start afresh debt free. If the CVA had gone ahead the club would have had to deal with that if found guilty. If not found guilty I cannot understand HMRC's actions.

the cva dealt with the big tax case.

  5. Right GS we get the drift can we talk about what's actually thread topic or better still start your own thread about D&P

I'm going offline for a week in an hour or so mate. or at least mostly off line. you can talk about whatever you want. I'm sure most can surmise my opinion on most subjects without me. :)
