  1. Do you think there would be enough protest/lionbrand merch sold to offset the cost of buying back unsold stock? I do hope that sense prevails. It makes sense to me that MA would reconsider his deals to maximize sales but "whether Ashley listens....".

As GS says, unless there are some minimum order quantities involved, I doubt Rangers would order significant volume under the current contract.

I wonder what Puma make of it all. Can't be too happy with Mr Ashley or Rangers.

  2. Unfortunately we've got a board of directors and company Nomad who seem to lack any sense of decency or scruples, so it's almost impossible to predict their next move, especially when Ashley is clearly pulling the strings at the moment.

    True.

However, there would be very little to gain by hanging on for another 3-4 days if the outcome was inevitable. It would certainly harm reputations further in the eyes of the city.

  3. Aww, I came in here expecting some music by RAtM. Sooo many song titles of theirs, whilst not for the cause of a football club, fit our situation so well.

    Those being :-

    Settle for Nothing

    Take the Power Back

    Wake Up

EDIT : Im being nice with these titles, there are others but may be deemed a bit on the threatening side. haha

And one we will hopefully be able to use soon :-

Freedom! (for info : this song was written before Braveheart :D )

You need to add "Know Your Enemy" to that list...

  4. He will try to involve Ashley as little as possible apart from what is cast in stone. That's the whole point of this.

I'm sure King will point out to Ashley that SD will sell more shirts and make both parties more cash, if he can tell the fans that the contract has been renegotiated and is now more equitable towards RFIC.

Otherwise I foresee lots of Protest and Lionbrand shirts being sold until 2017.

Whether Ashley listens is another matter though.

  5. Question out of curiousity, who would take the help if the board were voted out but the majority of votes did not vote King and Co in?

    Can that happen?

I believe it's the Nomad's responsibility to appoint Directors in that scenario (assuming they don't resign).

  6. Buying more time to hide their shenanigans more like. They are hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

their actions if anything reek of sheer desperation, like a dying man stranded alone in the middle of the ocean, thrashing wildly at the waves with his arms, that will very shortly engulf him and take his life.

I will stick my neck neck out and say that the EGM will not take place. I fully expect them to take the cowards way out and capitulate at the very last moment with their tails between their legs.

    Good riddance.

That would be my bet too. Once Capita have hard evidence from proxy returns that the Resolutions will all pass, then they and the Nomad should really advise the Board to step down and avoid the ignomy of being voted off.

  7. If anyone can tell me how you vote on a poll using Tapatalk, I'd be really keen to find out.

I only had access via my mobile last week and couldn't find it, so I had to rely on the collective wisdom of Gersnet. Safe hands obviously.

  8. The opening threatening rant by Llambias whining about being called a liar is then followed up by lie after lie and to round off the caper the ever impartial ACD ends up writing up the minutes.

But she managed to minute the undernoted "not for minuting" gem:

BL: Not for minuting – the Three Bears shit themselves when they thought we’d accept their deal.

  9. Apologies if this has already been said but these comments don't seem consistent with McDowall being TOLD to play these players (albeit fitness could be his get out):

"He explained, "All of the new boys are in the squad for Sunday and at the moment it's too early to say if any would be involved in the game. As ever, we'll have a look at the end of the week and see who is fully fit and who is not."

"It sets a challenge to other players as their standards will have to be a bit higher now that the squad is a bit bigger - so it's good competition to have. It's the nature of a club like Rangers that you have to compete for places and it's up to you once you're in there to keep that place in the team."

    "

I listened to the whole press conference BH. Whilst you're correct about those specific quotes, he could not have been clearer about his instructions regarding those 5 players and the journalists clarified the point 3 or 4 times with him.

  10. Completely agree. The RFB can, at the very least, be the vocal, official voice of the fans. After their statement last week I think they gained credibility too.

Keep fighting the good fight FS and continue, along with your colleagues, to hold all these charlatans accountable. Highlight lies, fabrication, incompetence at every turn !!

The voice of the fans would be better served by making it clear to investors that none of the support trust a word this Board say about anything.

  11. Yes, that may well be true; but I still don't see what he/the Board would have to gain by deliberately mis-stating the date of the AGM.

    To me that's completely counter-productive.

He's either incompetent and doesn't know what's going on, or he's a lier (whatever his motivation) or he doesn't care enough about the RFB to make the time to correct his error when he realises it (a quick email would have sufficed, even if it was early in the morning).

Given FS's previous comments about him, I don't believe he's incompetent, so you can take your pick of the other two options.

RFB's position is untenable either way IMO.

  12. I hold the opinion it was Llambias's revenge for the vote of no confidence.

I doubt I could believe a single word any present Director utters.

Which is why I think that the RFB have to resign en masse.

At best you can't rely on anything you're being told by them and at worst you're deliberately being used to spread misinformation.

Anyone on the Board who is serious about Fan Engagement doesn't hold an annual meeting 500 miles away.

  13. So it is then indeed 30 days. Slight slip from Dave he should have known that. I forgive him.

    There's nothing to forgive Pete.

DK said that the Board have until Friday to set the date and he's right.

The requisition was served on 16th Jan, so the Board have 2 days left (of the allowed 21) to announce the date of the EGM, which must be no more than an additional 28 days away. 2+28 is where some folk are getting 30 from.

EGM should be no later than Friday 6th March.

  14. 1. Since RIFC has been set up, there have been numerous versions of boards of directors, and one common theme is that at any point in time, the current board put much of the responsibility of the poor state of the club on previous versions of the board. Why have this board not looked to take action against previous directors for not acting in the best interests of the company of which they are directors of?

    2. The net loan from Mike Ashley (in whatever guise) recently increased from £3m to £5m, with no guarantee that it would increase to the reported £10m. For that additional £2m, the board gave away 26% of our retail income, a fixed charge over Murray Park, a floating charge over the rest of our assets excluding Murray Park, the club's registered trademarks and shirt sponsorship. Please justify how this amount of security can be justified for a mere additional £2m.

    3. Can Mr Lliambias and Mr Leach give an example of a decision that they have taken that is in the best interests of RIFC and has been to the detriment of MASH, Sports Direct or Mike Ashley?

    4. can the directors list out the exact reasons why they felt that the loan from Ashley was better for the club than the T3Bs proposal?

    5. Why did the directors not ensure that this financing was put in place at the start of the month to allow us not to sell our best player?

    #2 is a belter.

Hope that makes the final list.

  15. 1. Are the Board aware of allegations that certain IPO investors were refunded part of their investment, due to the floatation price being 70p and not the £1 promised by Charles Green. Did Mr Ashley recoup some of his initial investment and is so, in what way?

    2. What proportion of the Newcastle loan signing's wages are being paid, directly or indirectly by RIFC?
