Not really, funds are funds, the fact he wants it paid back gradually over a long period of time isn't even a major detail. It makes sense in terms of making money, which I don't think he ever pretended he wasn't here to do.

His plans probably weren't in full motion then, and it's a a strategy used throughout football, it's not like Whyte using season ticket advances to buy the club.

Celtic have been calling themselves debt free for years, but it's certainly not like they don't owe a penny. The main point of it is not having unsustainable an crippling debt.

Debt free never means that you don't owe any money at all. Green's point was that we weren't going to be owing fortunes to the likes of HMRC.

That's fair enough, but at the same time i'd urge you not to jump to the very worst conclusions.

Personally I think you're being very persnickety. Anyone who pays attention knows the deal isn't official until a CVA is either accepted or rejected, but there's a binding agreement in place and considering he's funding us until an exit from administration it makes sense he's involved in the running of the club now. The truth is the creditors will decide on a CVA so there's nothing Green and D&P can do in the meantime, and the plan for the CVA failing has already been outlined.

A decent statement and that's the only thing you pick out of it?

As a club we're meant to pride ourselves on morals and high standards.
