Looks to me his heart simply not in it & needs to move on. What we recoup from his transfer fee is another matter

I'd prefer to see us play three in Central MF. Today we'd just Jack and Holt. I felt they got outnumbered at times. I'd like to see us play 3-5-2 at home to teams like Hamilton. I don't see why we need four defenders when they only put one up front and the five would allow us three in Central MF with two in wide areas and two up front.

Until we get ourselves strikers scoring more goals then we're going to have to accept results like this every now & then. The amount of missed chances was unbelievable. That's a worry because he's the best striker we've got by some distance.

If the Rangers board were going for McInnes then they now have a problem. Better candidates have expressed interest in my opinion.

I don't think there's any chance whatsoever DA will return. I still think McInnes was favourite until better candidates declared their interest. Now the Rangers board have given themselves a problem of their own making. Never sack a manager unless you've got a replacement lined up

Going back to the OP, can I dare to suggest we've not missed McKay because Windass now seems to be settling in at long last.

When McKay wouldn't sign a new deal I think the plan was to replace him with Jamie Walker who scored a dozen or so goals in the premiership last season . But we sold McKay too cheaply & hertz wanted too much for Walker
