to be fair pete the figures don't stack up. £12m is a fallacy. Will be closer to £9m imo. Even if he some how manages to get 45000 sold and brings in £12m how does that turn into cash in bank for transfers? he says the budget is open ended but it cant be. were would the cash come from? The st money will be staggered will it not? the share issue is not for another 3-4 months well after the window so were is the money coming from to pay for signings? Say we need to keep £1m a month to cover running costs until share issue thats £3-£4m out of the cash available from st sales? are we to believe the rest will be spent on signings with the share issue raising enough to cover all the bills? -

only bringing in 6 or 7 new players. that's horrendous! who are the 8 or so players in the squad right now who are deemed good enough to be in the line up next season? got to say he isn't half asking for the fans to accept everything on trust and trust alone. No budgets to be announced because they are open ended! does he realise how that translates to people that have been continuously lied to for the last 3-4 years? -

no they are not good enough. the few who i guess you rate mentioned above came at a huge loss to the club and produced a poor team. So even ones you reckon prove we should stick to our guns are anemia to what should be our signing policy. Tell me one scottish player we could sign and what it would cost that would excite the fans and give a possible return on the money. Please don't come out with standards like scott allen or spfl candidates for player of the years cause we have a few and they are terrible -

9% and cant own anymore. we also have not been informed of the loan arrangements. why? how is strengthening Rangers playing into Ashleys hand? it does the opposite. Every Rangers success and move forward is proof of his negative effect in running the club through his cohorts previously. He is being careful with his money and i have no problem with that. Unfortunately that is not what he is saying at nearly every press conference. He is playing into the medias hand who will turn the fact he can get his money back or more when it suits them. He constantly says he will cover the short fall from investing in the team and the infrastructure at a loss to himself. That is not the case. He is being more than cute with his words. He will get his investment back. Its a loan. would put money on the fact that that bit of paper becomes worth more than his outlay in the next 5-10 years Not to mention the fact i see a share issue as never happening or atleast not anytime soon. Think the new time frame mentioned today is 3-4 months away. How many dates is that now that have been penciled in? It seems the investment is getting smaller now they have control. With no transfer budget looking likely this window and no share issue until the jan window which he says today we will only outlay in if we need a push to win the championship. Is it fair to say in the next 12 months he will likely only invest another £3m give or take which will cover the running deficit? how much to you see him putting in in the next season? -

sorry was making the dinner. only three of them were bought from scottish sides for a total £4m+ with no return. not to mention the fact the football played by that side was poor. Long diagonal balls to the wings is not for me. Its that sort of footballing philosophy i fear going back too. That team is the exact thing i never want to see again. vastly over paid average players. -

think we have found the heart of the problem. Your aims reminds me of the same as the blue room mob. Do just enough to be better than celtic. personally i could never aim as low. Hearts and motherwell shouldn't be able to recruit from the same pool as our finances allow. Scrapping the same barrow as that lot for the nucleus of a team leaves us at their level for the foreseeable future -

their team is not fit to grace ibrox either. Is that the level you are aiming for motherwell, hearts? -

understand that but repayment in any form is repayment. If he wants shares in return then he is interested in getting his money back unless he is planning on donating his shares to the fans groups. Donations don't dilute just ask the lotto lout. -
don't think that means investment level. but here's hoping

don't understand the " i don.t expect my money back " part. Why is the investment in the form of loans then? Does that not mean in one form or another he gets his money back? -

if the bulk of signings come from the same market as before we will fall short on the field yet again. Out of contract spfl players are not good enough to keep crowds entertained and off their backs at Ibrox. -

yeah daft like needing to get rid of 11 players and it still not being enough . Great signing policy to follow. -

agree with that but that's not what we have been doing for a long time. As will be witnessed by the percentage of our next signings who will mainly come from spfl and league 2 in England on freebies given to the club by the same network of agents and advisoes we always utilise. They will go for the same attributes we have looked for for years now with a pedigree in scotland. -

even naismith who you mentioned was not a good deal. what did we pay £2m what return did we receive? What signing from scottish teams or from free spl/spfl transfers has produced? Only players i can think of came through our academy -

would give a far better return than doing the same again and again and expecting different results add to that no players who play in Scotland -

you also shouldn't return to the same well that poisoned you before unless something drastic has changed. -

disagree mate. They have had time to put down a marker. the bringing in of mccall bought them plenty of time to get the selections narrowed down dependent on the league we would find ourselves in. same goes for investment. I understand they want to limit the expense they may incur. But that could have been done after an initial investment of a decent size say £10m had been put up. we all know the boundaries of expenditure we will need over the next three years. -

Not wanting to follow the footballing recipe of recent past. The signing of poor players from Scottish leagues who play well for other Scottish teams and we still wrongly think that will constitute performances that will be accepted at Ibrox. The continuation of managers from people known within circles of certain supporters and needing to have a past links to be considered for roles. The continuation of following the same footballing philosophy and style. The continuation of thinking ex players who do mediocre at other sides as managers are somehow good enough to manage Rangers in some misguided idea that it will help continue our traditions. its time for a new approach to pretty much everything in a footballing sense and also in how we run and communicate with our customers. my point is signing scott allen or even considering it shows we have learned nothing from the batch of useless over paid rejects we already signed through the same thinking. That we still ask the same people for opinions on signings who have already failed to deliver ad nauseum is breath takingly stupid. Also that the managerial candidates of Mcinnes, Mccall and davies show we are still fishing in a completely inadequate pond that lacks the assortment of catch our customers are seeking. mush of the same old approach the usual mob in the blue room as been advocating for as long as i can remember. managers must know the clubs traditions, must know what it means to be a ranger , one man in charge of everything ,must sign a backbone of players from Scotland. European money should be counted on to break even. Infrastructure and a decent signing policy with returns expected are for other leagues not ours ,Beating celtic is all that matters blah blah blah -

personally see scott allen as a continuation. Same for a large selection of the managerial candidates. -

only thing i would argue is its of his own making. The time frame is completely in his control. Would have been a far better marketing idea to announce the manager and season ticket sales on the same day. For me should have happened at NARSA. Could have caused a small stir and got fans and wallets raring to go . -
