Mike Ashley tells Rangers FC 'we're not a bank' over loan deal
trublusince1982 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
depends on the return. If he wastes the money on the likes of Mccinnes and players like Scott Allen the knock on effect on custom will decrease the value as the shortfall steadily increases. As fans see that promises are falling way short income will continue to drop. -

well being what? Gutted if he is the boards master plan for the next 3 years. Slap in the face to mccall as well. One thing to be replaced another being replaced by a poor quality as mccinnes -

Not always when it's a consequence of choice. King has decided to run us at a loss. There is other ways to fix the short fall than a share issue. -

On this issue I think they might. Think the institutional investors might say one share issue ina year is enough -

We are talking about £15_20m. I don't see them having the kind of cash needed. Kings giving 50% of what the other investors pony up. So who's putting up the first £10m After the loans are deducted from the share issue we wI'll be lucky to have £5m worth of shares left. Do we not need shareholder permission to put up another tranche? -

Are they cash rich to the tune of £5m each this year ? -

It's not just £5m. They also have to cover the shortfall and whatever extra we spend on signings I don't think they can cover all that In one year. -

to be completely honest i dont believe for a second they would ask any questions of the current board.

what is happening with relisting? were are we getting the cash required to do so? how is the club securing cash from investors for the open ended budgets king mentioned when we can raise only £8m through share issue? what vehicle will be used? Is this approach realistic in the time frame now remaining? what were the terms of the two £1.5m loans? How do we plan on enticing any decent manager without iron clad assurances of budgets available? Mr king stated all the st money will be used to fund the football side of the club does that include transfers and wage budgets for 1st team? If so how much money is expected to be cleared into our accounts before the transfer window closes? Does this approach not create delays and slow our ability to move quickly when targets become available? does this not create a budget that cannot be exceeded ie the most st can provide is limited by the amount we sell and the time frame for payment? Why are two men who have zero experience in doing so creating the shortlist of managers? why did you choose to start season ticket sales before you have appointed a manager or secured any signings when it has been explained the fans are demanding actions first before trusting? Do we really see this as the best way to maximize sales? Why did the board not put down a marker to encourage season ticket sales? Why was this decided as not necessary? Do the board realise the ground swell needed to bring sales near the 45000 mark has not been achieved through the lack of action on part of the investors? Can you clear up the confusion shown by PM when asked about the loans that had been provided. At first it was from the 3 bears then king how could this be confused? Before king and co took control they stated they had further investors in the wings. Can you tell us when they will be investing and who they are? Can the board explain what they believe the fans are looking for in terms of footballing philosophy and structure? The board has often stated transparency is of upmost importance so can they explain why the terms of investment received so far has not been released?

can only see it being mccall or davies. cant see warburton taking the job without iron clad assurances on budgets available. -
wish the rst would ask some more important questions that actually matter. Ashley can flap his gums all he wants , king will decide if we can pay it and by the looks of it there is nadda ashley can do about it.

Moneyball - Can statistical scouting be used by Rangers?
trublusince1982 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
no it was statistical algorithms being utilized to pick formations and who to play against x y and z opponent. basically taking team selection out of the hands of the manager -
51%-49% is not near good enough when they paid no upfront fee for the contract. SD can suck my ....

Moneyball - Can statistical scouting be used by Rangers?
trublusince1982 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Depends on the statistics being collated.ball retention, passes completed successful runs etc can find exciting attributes. They are used correctly at the likes of Southampton. As you say if they use it to find a cheap "will get the job done "approach it would send us back to the ws style of play -
Moneyball - Can statistical scouting be used by Rangers?
trublusince1982 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Would be happy just to see a start. With king saying no football director I don't think any statistical approach will be on the cards. That sort of endeavour needs a specialised team who would require a d.o.f or such to ensure consistency. Think it will be the old scouting networking while dipping our toe into new approaches. -
Ibrox fans will step up and pay says Rangers fans chief
trublusince1982 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It's getting people to believe that he will co-invest that is the problem. Plus what he thinks is enough might not mare with fans expectations. -

Those who were going to renew still will those who are unsure are still unsure and those who were not going to renew still aren't. Nothing has been done yet to gauge intent. The correct approach could push us near 30000 but the time to create a huge upswell has passed. The only way we would have got40+ is if they had put down a large pile of cash pre st sale -

thats a massive pile of shit. I hated ashley and co and you know it. But hating ashley does not mean every time king farts it smells of roses. I will be just as quick to applaud their decisions when correct as i will be when saying they are wrong. Just as i applauded them for bringing in mccall at the time. it was a great move that unfortunately fell a little short. -

yeah i am. he was a bit part player carried by a very strong squad. that same player put in this squad would not be of a significant level to pull the rest through. we are not years away. we are a year away. king has already said all signings must be of a level to meet top league demands. are you saying you cant take king seriously? -
Dave King Press Conference 8th June 2015
trublusince1982 replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
so far it is. the philosophy/ business plan in my opinion so far is horrendous. I didn't decide the plan and would far prefer they hit the nail on the head. the plan so far.... lets have two guys who have absolutely no idea pick the managerial candidates at what could easily be the most important time in our history. but don't worry we will seek advice from the man who picked the worst manager in our history. lets run on a promise of transparency then give even less info than those before. lets promise £30m then £15m then say the budgets are open ended to fans who have been lied to over and over for the last 3 years that will help them trust. approaching fans and expecting st sales of 45000 without showing through action the path you will take the club is quite frankly stupid. Approaching managers of a decent calibre and telling them hey we have no budgets for transfers ,we have no budgets for first team wages but we pinky promise to give you the cash if you convince us of the merits. we are losing 11 players and you can sign around 7 but you only have 6-7 weeks to arrange pre season and we have no scouts or system in place to help identify targets,The rest of the squad has already been deemed by all concerned to be of an unfit level but tough you will need to make them so. Now go identify the targets approach us with your reasons we will then agree loans with the club to give you money then we will negotiate will the players clubs and have them out to your training camp all in under 7 weeks. PS our fans are some of the most demanding around! I see it now. thinking we should have got our fingers out and used the breathing space given through the employment of mccall to establish an a and b list determined by the league we were in would have been folly. Same as having the management appointment ready to go before st sales with an established budget for players would never encourage sales. No putting down markers before you ask everyone else to bet would be stupid. If the king interview with trayner had been by anyone else you would have tore it to shreds. My standards do not change depending on who they reference. Not good enough is not good enough. ashley was way worse for different reasons. I doubt very much king and murray would destroy the club in the same fashion as ashley would have. But two wrongs do no make a right.. -

you need to keep our parameters/reality at the forefront when talking about Rangers. yesterday when discussing our transfer philosophy for the next season you dont agree with my assertion we should avoid spfl and scottish players. Obviously that does not include £15m rated scottish players as you seem to think . Because we don't have that sort of cash or pull and are not operating in that market. the comment is in reference to the market we are shopping in, wages of 5000-8000 a week and low to zero transfer fee.. You just dont get the obvious. sorry but cant spell out every single simple detail. same as you dont get that season ticket sales predictions will be used to identify managers who are realistic. Because again you cant extrapolate income predictions determines expenditure. same when i say chris burke level is not good enough. thats in reference to our current situation were players coming in must be able to carry the team and be of a greater value after 3 years. We would fair far better by spending the same monetary amount on low level dutch, german itailian players than spending that money on championship players at the level of chris burke. The wage demands and transfer fees are to bloated in england to get the same bang for your buck. the level we are shopping at taking wage and transfer fee levels into account deem spfl targets as too low on the totum pole to be of any benefit to a club of our size -
no the point is the same your understanding has altered. would you now like to change your opinion on them using st sale predictions to guide future spending habits? or do you think a football club doesnt use such details to decide on wage levels for manager and player expenditure?
