I take your point about the teams already in the senior league. Even if I accepted the point about bringing through better youngsters, which I don't, I would still argue that it is a foolish trade off to make. No football fan is really interested in some abstract idea of aggregate, or overall, quality of young players in Scotland. Football fans want to know that when they turn up to watch a match that they can see their team win. If we keep structuring football in favour of big clubs then it will continue to decline as a contest. If it continues to decline as a contest then fans will continue to abandon the game.

I think this sounds very bad in principle. Youth teams playing in the senior leagues is designed to strengthen the position of big clubs even further. It will make Scottish football even less competitive than it already is. Also, if the highland league teams really are better then why don't they win promotion in the existing system?

I don't know about that. We never looked like we could control the game and close it out. As soon as Spartak Moscow went ahead the game changed and it looked like they were in control.

If I remember correctly the manager has already stated that the league is his priority so you should probably not expect the strongest line up. Kent and Ejaria play most of the time because they are two of the best available options. We don't have any players who play better consistently ...
