I don't have any problems with King regarding his commitment to return our club to it's rightful place. He has done everything within our limited means to achieve that. It hasn't all worked out as we would wish but it's not due to lack of commitment and effort from Dave King.
It hasn't all worked out? Our team has been completely awful since it returned to the top flight and Hibs almost pipped us to third place. That's pathetic. Mr King is judged by the product on the park first and foremost and so far it has been diabolical.

Many of those using the "Windass posted missing" mantra are simply following a comfortably familiar path. It can be hard to admit you were wrong about someone. Windass has clearly responded to Gerrard's leadership and was one of our more committed and effective players on Tuesday. I just wish we would make room for him in a more central position - it's inconceivable he wouldn't be a more effective striker than Morelos, who has contributed almost nothing since last Xmas but continues to have excuses heaped upon him.
Nah, people are criticising a lower league English level player who shouldn't be here. Players like Windass are not what we need to challenge the tims, and such players will cause us embarrassment soon in Europe.

Your first assertion was about players going missing in one of Europe’s worst leagues.
Darthter responded with with an example of a player that couldn’t go missing as he isn’t even getting games.
your follow up bore no resemblance to your initial assertion.
My response made perfect sense based on what he said. I'm glad you're paying such close attention to my posts though.

The fact of the matter is we're garbage going forward and he's meant to be our main playmaker. Go figure.

so good, that he struggled to get a game ahead of Forrest.....
Whereas Windass is a regular starter, who contributed 18 goals last season.
Sorry, Armstrong is clearly miles better than Windass. There's a reason he's now playing in the EPL, which Windass will never go anywhere near.

That is NOT the argument you tried to make previously.
Eh? I was answering someone who brought up Armstrong.

but they appear more than happy to shell out millions on a player who struggles to get into the 1st team @ Ceptic....
I think most teams would look at the benefits that a player like Windass DOES bring, rather than be put off by Gers fans perceptions of what he doesn't bring.....
Armstrong is miles better than Windass.

Cause the owned him.
And back to there he should go.

We signed Windass to develop him & sell him on. He was a much improved player last season. Our 2nd top scorer.
if he improves again this season we’ll make a tidy profit on him when he inevitably gets sold
Nobody in England is going to splash the cash on a guy who goes completely missing in at least half the games he plays in one of the worst leagues in European football.

That's because you were also miserable and pessimistic yesterday, and the day before.
I expect you'll have de ja vu tomorrow too. ?
My realism is too much for you to handle, buddy.

We are about to spend the best part of £8m on 3 centre backs.
The negativity on here is completely over the top.
The Rangers team that started last night will be dramatically different come the start of the season.
One goal over there and the game is done and dusted.
I’m getting deja vu here.

It was quite comfortable. Defensively we were solid, and there's a big improvement in the gaps between players/lines, and the CBs pushing up to cut off passes. We pressed and recovered the ball quite quickly, generally.
It was lacking in quality in the final third. It was disappointing, even though we created several glorious chances, and flat. We need more creativity.
The positioning of the #8 has to improve: they have to find space in the channels, between the lines; and, crucially, the CBs and McCrorie have to find them with line-splitting passes. Too often it went wide, which played into their hands. I would expect to see that improve with coaching.
We were playing against a side that finished 4th in the Macedonian league. Unless there’s an enormous improvement, further European embarrassment is heading our way.

Not that surprising..........
New improved defence
Same players middle to front (bar Arfield who was subed)
Improved when two new arrivals to first team come on.
The side out there last night are a million miles away from challenging Celtic. It’s actually quite depressing to see Morelos, Windass etc still involved. I don’t think Murphy’s good enough either.
Our squad needs significant investment.

This just seemed like a continuation of last season, except looking a bit more solid defensively. We were really poor and offer very little going forward. Middleton and Ejaria looked promising when they came on.

7.16m according to TM, so the feeding of Scum FC by Soton FC stands at 46.14m ...

What's the relevance of that? Southampton have signed some very good players from Celtic and they've collectively made a significant profit on those signings.

Thought you were a nike snob
I would far rather have Nike or Adidas, but the orange kit looks great. I think 32Red is a tacky looking sponsor, but you can't have everything.

West Brom have signed a goalkeeper from Manchester United for 6.5 million he has never made a first appearance going by that as a marker Hibs should get between 8 and 10 million in these days of mad transfer fees .
English football fees bear no relevance to the rest of the world.

Did we not have one out similar years back?
Yeah, we had one just like it. I remember I had Novo on the back of it.

That's a bit gender specific. Gender is fluid and women are empowered. Suggesting women are the weaker sex is tantamount to a 'hate crime'.
We've signed the lad, so let's just get on with supporting the team.
You can shove feminism up your arse ?.

This whole 'we've all done bad things' rhetoric being used to defend the actions of a woman beater is pathetic. I don't remember anyone pedalling the same nonsense in any of the Stan Collymore topics.
Our club should have certain standards and not signing someone who beat up a woman should be one of them.

He might be right in saying they weren't physically fit enough, but for me it was more about their mental fitness. The team collapsed mentally when Celtic went down to ten men. There was no belief that we could win that match. The team then failed to recover mentally after that and we went on to record some poor results and performances.
I think a simpler way of putting it is we had a crap team and they got what they deserved.

I know mate, they will go to clubs with a lot more money than us. I would love a striker like Dost tho, crackin big centre forward
He might make a good partnership with Messi.
